Day 22

Back to basics with a pair of Spartans today. While a 4 layer feels a bit better in hand, there is something to be said for those sleek lines and ability to disappear into your pocket.

DAY 20 & 21

On day 20 it was this pre-1986 Tinker small with can key on the Phillips. I like to think this is similar to the one that MacGyver must have carried In the first season. It doesn’t see much action as it has some sentimental value.

On DAY 21 this pre 1986 Camper saw some Limited action in the garden. This is another sentimental SAK that I don’t often carry. I’m a big fan of these early 80s SAKs- oh the nostalgia!  :ahhh

I’m really enjoying getting caught up here, some really great posts :salute:

Day 22, September 22

They’re not exactly the best wire cutters in the toolbox but I like how the plier head is between a long nose and blunt nose.

The price of LM tools have practically doubled where I’m from. A Wave costs as much as a Swisstool! Imagine that!

Wow Surge that climber is a real Beauty!  :o   :salute:

DAY 22

On Day 22 a friend needed help cleaning out his basement and going to the dump.
The humble 3 layer Farmer was all that was needed.
The perfect tool for the job  :tu:

Sweet custom scales! :tu:

Day 23

Today I'm showing a Tinker Small muck like the one Explorer showed (no half-stop on the cap lifter, no sewing eye in the awl, can key in Phillips screwdriver). Mine isn't as nice, though.

I've awlso discovered that there is a page listing the SAKs used by Angus MacGyver. ReamerPunch verified many of them in this thread. And the SAK Wiki is an external link in the Swiss Army knife Wikipedia page!

Day 23

Borrowed my wife's Tinker (with blue tweezers and toothpick) for today's carry. Sliced an apple, tightened a couple of screws.

DAY 23
Attended a formal dress occasion on Day 23 and opted for just a black Executive in the tux pocket. But on my way out the door I noticed my dirty nails could use a trim so I grabbed one of my favorite models for this task- The Victorinox NailClip 580. The nail clippers although slightly smaller than a normal pair are extremely sharp- and as one would expect- built very solidly. I believe it’s a 65mm SAK which is the Victorinox version of the Wenger Swiss Clipper. But of course if you’d like to learn more SAK wiki has a bunch of great info on this one    8)
https://www.sakwiki.com/tiki-index.php?page=Delémont+NailClip+580

Cheers to Awl

Great stuff today, my fellow Swiss Army Knights! :tu:

Day 24

Thanks to BPRoberts for making today's post happen! I am now the proud owner of two Executives. The Executive name was used on a couple-few different models, and the 74mm model was available with many different scale materials. It was awlso a favorite of Angus MacGyver and BGEN Chuck Yeager. Lots of good info on its SAK Wiki page!

Cripes, SurgeUK - £4.50 for a scotch egg….! No wonder Govey thought two of them constituted a substantial meal (apologies, but a UK specific Covid joke)….  I bet it was bloody fantastic though!

Day 24

My Compact in its "native" environment, my bedside table. While I don't love it for EDC, it does have a pretty good toolset for taking care of little things around the bedroom (snipping tags off new clothes, jotting middle of the night notes on the pen, opening packages that make it up here) so I've made peace with it here.

Cheers mate  :hatsoff:

Yup £4.50 each (there were two of them) The sausage roll and a "small" bottle of white Port were missing from this shot. All in all it was just under £50  :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh (luckily I remained home and didn't have to fork out )

It makes Waitrose look cheap  ::)
