I'm super sorry! My wife and I just had our second kid so I've been a little busy with life. I'll pack up the box and have it sent off tomorrow afternoon!

Here's the little spawn in case anyone is interested. 🤣 I'll blame him for the delay. He can't defend himself.

Just for the edification of all future Sos Surprise Box recipients.  Generally if someone sends you a PM, it is considered proper to respond.  Also, it is best to send a PM with the package tracking number along with the info that you have shipped the box.
Doesn't have to be much.  Just "I shipped the box.  Tracking number is XXXXXXXXXXXX. "

Never did get a PM about shipment.  Never did receive a shipping number.  Why is a shipping number a big deal?  Several reasons.  If the letter carrier doesn't put a pick-up notice in my mail, then I can use the shipping number and my address to pick up the parcel.  Number 2.  I can check on-line to see when the box arrives.  With a shipping number.  Three.  If the box is lost, I can use the shipping number to prove to the post office that I should have received the package and start back-tracking it.  Four.  If the box can't be located, the shipping number will allow me to start the insurance claim for priority mail.
I will creep down to the mailbox later today and begin my waiting for something that might not be coming.  I'm not really interested in the box.  I will probably open it just to see what is inside.  I might find something I like.  If there is room, I will put something back.  Ship it to the next player.  With a shipping number sent by a PM from me.
The MTo demon that advertises here has found me another woman.  This one is Brandi something or other.  Pessante, or Pescante maybe.  Blonde who does some sort of reality TV thing.  Never heard of her.  Looks like the sort of gal who would be using a brush on a horse.  Go to her house and she would bring you a beer without asking if you wanted one.
I have been getting a whole string of nice looking females in one ad.  No prices listed on these.  One has the word "NEW" by her photo.  Another has a 5% off logo.  Having a sale price sounds good, but 5% off what?  The NEW lady looks like the type that would yell bad things at the top of her lungs and slam doors.  Brandi might be a good person, but I think I will pass.  For now anyway.  They might put her on sale later.  Best wishes.  G

Looks like good stuff… maybe to hot for my system???

My current ads are about buying watches on Ebay.  I looked at watches once, a few months ago, but the algorithm never forgets.

My Dad knew an old timer who ordered a mail-order bride.  She made it up to his house.  Took one look at the outdoor privy, and asked for a ride back to the rail station.  The road to true love isn't paved with primitive plumbing.
Well at least the Euro box is getting sorted out.  I wonder how they knew there were items that couldn't qualify for air freight unless they opened the box?  Maybe I will have some news on the Sos box this week.  Don't hold your breath.
Best wishes.  G

I've gotten ads for random goofy celebrity photos on eBay (why, I don't know). One is Céline Dion. It's unfortunate what happened to her. Frankly, I'm surprised I haven't received ads for dating sites.

My guess is that the box will be moving along soon. I don't have any children, but I am pretty sure babies sap a lot of their parents' energy.

No pick up at the post office slip.  No reply to any PM.  No tracking number furnished.  No way to file a claim for the insurance (if some are gullible enough to believe the box has been lost in shipment).
Any comments from the friends here?

Your PATIENCE is ADMIRABLE!!!

I am sure SubMY is busy with family matters, and someone did suggest selecting something from box for the new born!!!

He said this was their SECOND.

I do not envy him.   When younger I have memories of our first, then second, oh and third, wow do not know how we survived.   Then number four arrived at beginning of the new year in 82.    Four little ones starting in 76 then another every two years, I am surprised I was allowed to live .  I know I would not of I had a box to sneak off to the post at any time🫣

Hi Gordon,
I don't need any more stuff.  I don't need the box.  My whole reason for asking for it again (after I said I wouldn't) was to get it circulating.  From my prior experience with the box, it usually has a thing or two that I wanted.  I generally picked up a few more items that I thought were nice to have something to play with.  Some of the items I chucked back in the box the next time I got it.
I there was something in the box (that I never got this time) I'm sure I would have found something that I wanted.  If I had taken 10 things, I don't believe anyone would have said anything except, "Some nice picks, IMR".
My interests are fairly narrow.  I don't want everything I see.  I enjoyed looking at the things in the box.  Picked them up and piddled with them.  Then I put almost everything back and added a few things.  Lots of nice things in there, but not a lot of things I wanted to keep.  From what I have seen here, I think most others are doing the same thing.  Interested in some things.  Not in others.
So far, that has worked for the box here.  Take some stuff.  Leave some other stuff.  Ship the box so someone else can play the game.  We have had a couple of instances where someone joins MTo and asks for the box on their initial post.  Obvious trouble.  Who is this person?  What are they planning to do with a box full of knives, etc?  Is this person 11 years old?  That's why those people never get the box.
MTo members are considerate, mostly.  Also generous.  That is why the box kept growing and everyone had fun.  I never liked stating how much the box weighed, for a couple of reasons.  Everyone who shipped to me did it in a timely manner.  Some put something special in the box just for me with a note.  I always liked that.
I know not everyone works on the same internal timing.  Think of the people you work with, or maybe relatives.  Some you can time with a stop watch.  Others need a calendar.  Some you have to remind 40 dozen times, then end up doing it yourself.  What is the problem this time?  Draw your own conclusions.
If a certain party wants to claim they shipped the box, all they have to do to prove it is post the tracking number.  Then all of us will be able to go to the USPS tracking site and see where the box is.

Big wind storm yestiddy, so I did my usual early morning walk down to see how much stuff is in my driveway.  It is a quarter of a mile, give or take with lots of trees in various conditions lining it.  Threw out a few limbs and went to the mailbox.  My intuition told me there was a pick up notice in my box.  I scoffed.  Intuition was right again.
This is it, along with the small jack knife that I am carrying for a challenge starting today.  If all goes well, I will try to make it to the post office in the morning.  No time for celebration yet.  The box came last time looking like the employees sat on it.  Big employees.  Another time it had a large slot punched in the side from a fork loader or something.
I will stay in touch.  Best wishes.  G

Went down this morning and picked up the Sos box.  This is a photo of it outside the post office with my challenge carry for the month.  The box arrived in pretty decent condition and had been packed well by friend SubMY.  I saw a Buck knife that immediately found itself a home here on Werecoyote Trail.  Nobody else has signed up to get the box after me, so I will take some time and clean up some knives a little.
I thought I might find something to use in the Keychain Challenge, but no luck there.  I also looked for something for the SAK-alike challenge, and there is a possibility there.  Depends on how friend Aztec rules on the eligibility.  It might be a SAK-alike and it might not.  I haven't looked at everything.  I did find one keeper (Buck), so that was encouraging.  I will post a photo later when and if I make a decision on any others.  Best wishes.  G

Glad the box arrived safe, sound, and full of goodies. On a side note, I got an ad for Seton Hill university today. I almost went there for grad school. Probably a better program than the one I wound up in. Either way, probably not as fun as the women you get.

I think I got Seton Hill and Seton Hall mixed up.  I used to see Seton Hall basketball or something.  Speaking of basketball, the MTo match making AI demon has been trying to hook me up with Caitlin Clark for some time now.  She is really too young for me, but I do appreciate that she makes mega bucks playing roundball.  Definitely a plus.  I generally had to spring for the dates.  Of course, that was usually 50 cents for a shake.  And two straws.  Does anybody want to see the little Buck that I am planning on keeping?  I will take a photo.
Access to MTo for me today has been on and off.  I keep getting a 507 notice of no server space.  Best wishes.  G  [ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

After lunch yestiddy, I spent an hour on just two knives in that box.  The outcome was good.  Both patients are resting comfortably.  I did spend some additional time on a few others.  A drop of oil and some cleaning helps.  By the day's end I was sick of pocky knives.  And mowing.
I had trouble all yestiddy getting on MTo.  507 server issues.  My initial challenge post today took some time to complete.  Maybe it will straighten out.  I found a couple of items that might have passed for carry knives to your Sak-alike challenge.  I busted a thumbnail on one, and couldn't open the stiff tools on another.  I oiled up the first one and put them both back in the box.  I think I will take a look at both of them again.
I need a ruling.  Is the tool set on a boy scout type knife a SAK-alike?  You know the kind.  Big blade, awl, can opener, bottle opener/screwdriver, bail. Same as a KampKing.  I know they would be fine for the Scout Knife challenge.  Should I try to locate something more SAK like?  Best wishes.  G

I have a Buck Stockman that I like to carry. Obviously the hunters are their main deal, but they make a fine slippy. The badge says, "aka multi-layered, knife-based pocket tool." I say two layers and a knife would qualify. I think I got mine carrying a Leatherman T4, which I'd argue is less SAK-like than a scout.

Sounds like something like the old TL-29 would qualify, right?  I owned Buck knives for years.  I must have had a Buck fixed blade of some sort.  I think I had a 110, and know for certain that I had a 112.  I do remember a Goliath.  Also several stock knives, and one teeny-tiny little two blade folder.  Might have been some others.  This is my first non-US made Buck.  It is sharp and pretty.
Best wishes.  G

Still having trouble accessing the posts on MTo.  For a couple of days, the last few posts in a thread won't show up.  The merit badge lines below the members' names won't appear normally.  This morning I saw that I only had one merit badge.  A low-grade Wenger collecting badge.  Strange stuff.  I posted my challenge thing early this morning while the site was still working.  It posted, but it was wonky.  Best wishes.  G

Surely you can find more than one knife to keep out of everything in the box.  Pretty sure any multibladed knife counts for the SAK alike challenge, not sure about TL-29 electrician knives, but Scout knives / demo knives definitely count. I was not able to connect part of yesterday too. I was repeatedly getting "the server may be busy try again later" message.
