They’re available on eBay Dan and has been on my list for a while.
I'd be very cautious about buying an ESEE on eBay. ESEE has noted that many counterfeits can be found there.

I like it a lot more than I anticipated and would highly recommend.
I guess I'm gonna have to get my hands on one! :ahhh
Also, as promised: the true Mac Multitool revealed ;)

:like: I must get out more...there has to be better scenery within an easy drive of me.

Great photos from awl, and what a way for Nix to conclude the challenge!

Day 22

Getting this in before I take an unintentional nap. As promised, I'm staying with the Izula II. The SAK, a Wounded Warrior Project Tinker, takes me back to basics (and my roots).

Day 22

The Executive reclaims its place on my new key arrangement. We'll see how I like the s-biner. Also, calling an audible from yesterday (since this week's carry doesn't start until today) and swapping the stockman for the Opinel I picked up earlier this month. I want to give the Crosman a little more TLC before I carry it, and I've never carried an Opinel before.

Another Buck 113!  It's such an attractive knife that I really want one.  :surrender: Looking around it seems that I can only get the S30V version if I get the Alaskan Guide series from Cabela's, but it is around $50.00 more than the standard 420C version.  How has the 420C version been holding up?  I'll probably have to get the standard model, if I get one, because while I may be good looking, brilliant and talented, I missed out on being wealthy.  :dunno:

Alan... The standard 113 with 420HC is going for $90.....but a custom 113 with S30V can be had from Buck for $125.

Some people prefer the 420HC which is a bit tougher and easier to sharpen (especially in the field). Some prefer the S30V which isn't as tough, but holds an edge a bit longer. I like S30V, but I try not to be to hard on it, knowing it is more likely to chip. Is it worth the extra $35?  Dunno..... :dunno:.... I think for the money, the 420HC version is better value.... If you were going to use the 113 to dress out a few deer in a day, the S30V might be the better choice. For EDC, I think the 420HC might be the way to go. Again....I don't have a strong opinion...only you can decide.  :tu:

Day 22
One way to demonstrate proper etiquette is knowing which utensil to use.  The (fake) Spyderco Civilian cut apart these ribs cleanly, without any tearing, just by pulling the hooked end through the meat and cartilage.  It is so sharp it required very little effort, cutting almost at the speed of thought.  This week I'll also be carrying a Victorinox Huntsman in black, and the Leatherman Wave.  Still have the Schrade 152OT on my belt as well but the (fake) Spyderco should serve the same purpose and is actually faster to deploy than getting the Schrade out of its sheath.

Day 21 make-up

Due to some unforeseen circumstances, I need to temporarily relocate for a few weeks.  So in the heist, the Spirit MX and my 91mm Mountaineer(not in the challenge) are the two tools I got with me.  The magnets probably need to delay for another month or two, but hopefully life will be back to normal within the next month or two...

Used to the MX to cut the frail out part of the shoe, can't believe this brand.  Suggested by wife, it cost a pretty penny, but sure is not long lasting at all(only wear this for a month or two)

MX cutting off some tags from new clothing, besides the cargo pants I love to wear, these Columbia silver ridge  pants are my favourite, especially in summer.

Thank you, still can't believe the full house!  And gotta admit, I didn't foreseen the hosts of this challenge winning the 2 rounds back to back.  Maybe we should do a lottery to gift these away?

That's slightly more expensive than I would think, especially the 420hc version.  Not dissing the work that goes into making a fixed blade, but I'd imagine the 110 would require more fitting work since it has more moving parts and more complicated to assemble.  But the 113 is 35-50% more expensive than a 110?

Some of the answer may be fixed vs. variable costs and the numbers of each model produced and sold, e.g. the fixed costs to produce the 110 are spread across many more units sold than the 113.  Guessing it may also have something to do with competitors’ pricing for similar models…

Feel better Comis!

Day 23

Neck knife selfie #2. The CRKT lays a lot flatter and more comfortably. Again, I replaced the paracord with a dogtag chain. The toggle it comes with to adjust the length is a big helper, would not wear a neck knife without one again. Also a much smoother draw. My wife has declared the lanyard awkward, but tried wearing it for a bit and said she can see the value. She doesn't have pockets on most of her pants. Maybe neck knives will be the next big women's accessory.
