I will be posting a full review on it once I have a few miles on it.

My initial impressions are that it reminds me of a similar American brand, famous for large  rectangular handles and who's owner has always been in some controversy or another, while sharing a name with a water bug.

While I am not personally a fan of big, chunky folders, I know a lot of people are.  Initially, at least, this one doesn't feel too awkward, and seems to open and lock up very nicely- long term testing of course will reveal if that quality sticks around past the initial fooling around stage.

It also comes in a nice nylon pouch with a cleaning cloth and a rubber Heron L1 patch which is pretty cool.  Assuming the knife doesn't loosen up or burst into flames, I'd say it appears to be well worth the $50 they are asking for it.  I have spent a lot more on a lot worse in my time!

And winning it, aka getting it free, well, that's even more of a bonus.
