Hiding in plain sight.

Today was a suit and tie day. No usage, but it was certainly unobtrusive in my pocket

 Did you get flack for having the slipjoint?

No flack, more surprise!  The fact that I had a sharp, and it was larger than most.

The Micra was small, and again a side eye why this old fart had a neat kinda gadget.

Unknown, was my shoulder bag, carried a LM Bond, and as Buck 112 Slim Select.
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Day 11 of 30:
Used the nail file to smooth out my nails after trimming them, but there are no pictures. This evening my daughter wanted some mandarin oranges for a snack but couldn't get the pop top can open and I wasn't much help because I closed my right index finger in the car door somehow yesterday evening . I had the micra in my pajama pants pocket, so I handed it to her to use to pry the tab up while I snapped a picture.

Day 10

Garlic bread  :like:
That looks yummy

Day Ten

Tried a task today that I didn’t think the Micra would cope with. Twisting a fastener with the “large” flathead, which I expected to be too narrow. Luckily, it was fine.

Like so many of my jobs on nights, it was done one-handed, above head height, and with only a headtorch for light.

It’s slightly easier with the package opener on the P2 or P4, but perfectly manageable with the Micra.

Bonus shot - the Leathermans I’m carrying tonight.

[ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ]
I find myself often surprised by what the small tools can do

Day 9 of 30:
Rode in the pocket all day until I needed to open this bag of ice to put in the ice "maker." it quit working a while back, and after fixing it a few times, I gave up and have just been filling it with bagged ice.  (Image removed from quote.)
I like that blue color.

Sorry about the ice maker
Day 9

I enjoyed a Modelo Negra tonight.

Good choice

Powernoodle Day 12

Though the actual date varies around the world, Happy U.S. Mother's day to anyone who is the mother of a human, the mother of a dog, who has or had a mother, or who has been called a mother.

I disassembled a thick, cardboard box which the Micra could not easily handle, so I reverted to a utility knife.

Love the picture Farmer X
 I guess it is. Thanks for the kind words!

Out for mother's day lunch with the family!
That sign is hilarious. I bet the lunch was tasty, too!

Today was a suit and tie day.
Believe it or not, in my awlmost 46 years on this Earth, I have never worn a suit. A U.S. Navy dress uniform is the closest I've ever come to that.

I forgot I had this Micra like tool with a SHEFFIELD label.
And it has a can opener in place of the tweezers. Good call!

I had the micra in my pajama pants pocket, so I handed it to her to use to pry the tab up while I snapped a picture.

Great photos from awl, and happy Mothers' Day to the moms out there!

Day 12

My Victorinox Altimeter wouldn't power on. There was no action shot, but I used the Micra's blade to free a fresh button cell battery from its package. Problem solved.

Do not fell neglect, it is labeled Sheffield, but not England made. Has a China label on opposite side.

The Pliers are nice, small yet grippy.

I wouldn't mind a Micra with pliers. Especially since the Squirt line was axed.

DAY 12

It's been a crazy busy day, clearing the home.....so much stuff..... almost done.

The day started with cutting a plastic tag off my little girls bag, before she went to grandma's.

Then getting old futons into the car to take to the tip....these are bulky and heavy, so I cut them in half with the Micra, this was hard work and involved cutting/sawing/stabbing....and then ripping by hand... difficult to do, but the Micra did it.

Typically the tip bulk bin was full, so I had to bring it back....ahhhh

Then getting old futons into the car to take to the tip

The environmentally-friendly thing to do is to throw those old futons into a lake, river or forest.  This is called "direct recycling", and cuts out the environmentally-unfriendly middleman.  Plus, by direct recycling you are saving space at the garbage dump for your fellow citizens to use.  Its a win-win.  Try it!

Day 12

The key ring is a feature, they say.

I find that to be a double edged sword. Ever since we did the Victorinox Classic SD Challenge, I’ve had mine on my keys. That has made it easy to forget I have it on me. It’s also why I tend not to have it on me whenever I have the chance. These car keys nowadays are becoming more bothersome to carry in the pocket. Because they are bulky.

Day 12

Ventured away from the house for dinner, had a craving BBQ, and since I forgot to take the ribs out of the freezer I had two options, go without or go out!

I chose the later😁

The Micra knife was used to clean the last rementents of meat from the bones. Handled with little trouble.  Of course, sauce on my fingers made it impossible to take a photo with the phone and the Micra needed a wipe down when I arrived home.

Picture is after the dinner events while drying off.

IMG_5924.jpg
* IMG_5924.jpg (Filesize: 212.43 KB)

For the record, IMHO, my ribs are more saucy and flavorful, as my choice uses a dry rub, on the heavy side.  Burnt Ends not bad, as well as the Corn Bread side dish.  My fault, can not complain.
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Working on some fly traps, I used the micra to pry out the smaller side of the handle.

Day 12 bonus

My micra was capable of prying out the smaller piece.  Next, I used the scissors to cut through the blue baling twine.  The last three or so threads got wedged between the blades, binding up the scissors. Maybe if I had held them or the twine better , the scissors would have cut through.  Next, the scissors cut right through the piece hanging from the handle, no problem.
