Powernoodle Day 15

I used the Micra to open these pitted Medjool dates from Amazon.  These are more spendy than other dates, but they are so plump and soft - almost wet - that they may be worth it.  Other brands are smaller and firmer, with some dates being almost hard and desiccated.  Dates are the fruit of the date palm tree, which is native to Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq, and North Africa.  They have a myriad of health benefits, and despite being very sweet with a creamy, maple and caramel flavor, they generally do not raise blood sugar and make an excellent dessert for those engaged in the battle against corpulence.

Thank you for the insight Power Noodle!

Would seem the dates would be much more beneficial than the poor choice I made last night of a handful (small) PeanutButter M&Ms 🙄

1 - 2#  bag to be delivered Thursday (tomorrow)!👍

Do you refrigerate once open?

Actually not a bad price if comparing with my goto M&Ms.!!!

Day Fifteen

It’s only Wednesday, and the Micra has been with me to five hospital appointments and one supermarket trip so far this week.

Paired with a Bond most of the time, but the Micra has always been enough. Very impressed with it at the half way point.

Day 14 of 30:
There were no uses yesterday, and I forgot to post this picture. Got busy after work with kid's baseball game and dinner. My Knafs Lander 1 and new fidget spinner/magnetic clicker along with the Micra

My grinder is a Wilfa Svart.
I might just have to look for one. But I think an old-school hand cranked job might be more appealing to me.

Trying to open an emergen-c failed halfway.
Tear notch fail, it seems. I've had way too many of those.

Micras with polycarbonate shells...wear way too easily.
Indeed they do. My blue one has a little wear. I probably won't go out of my way to pick up another polycarbonate Micra unless it's NOS.

With a few snack bites to ease the humbling event.
Now you have me wanting peanut butter M&Ms! And of course I went to the store last night...

Another great day, y'awl! :tu:

Day 15

The "Melt n'Dip" packaging had recipes. I used the Micra's scissors to cut the cards.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

Then, with only minor difficulty, I used the blade to put a hole in them.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

With the addition of a little paracord, I have a recipe file. Now I just have to remember where I put them.

Culling of the knife and multi herds in progress...

If I pay five figures for something, it better have wings or a foundation!

DAY 15

Another crazy and expensive build day.... builders didn't want to take a 5 x 4 metre steel roller shutter door down....its 4 metres up in the air, so don't blame them...realised late last night that the build cannot progress without the roller shutter door down....ahhh

....so some YouTube videos late into the night, reversing a roller shutter door installation, armed with the Micra to cut and splice ropes...and a 5am start, I managed to get a 1.5 ton off the ceiling....I managed to convince the builders (3 hours later) it was a good idea (just to note at this point in time I didn't think it was a good idea!!!), and it was done....bloody hell that was frightening

The unpainted area shows the outline of the roller shutter door

Freed this Pioneer X from its package.  I'll probably carry it a lot next month during the Alox Addict Challenge.

   Just being honest.

And honestly I wouldn’t have done that if it wasn’t for looking for excuses to use the tool.

Honestly, being that the tool needs to be fully unfolded to use, I am finding that it makes a good backup tool and I only think of using it when I really have to… and thats been the blade, scissors and tweezers so far.

I am also noticing that I have been putting the blade through its paces since I have been using the scissors most, since I got it 8 years ago or so.

The file/nail pick combo remains my favorite implement.

Very versatile tool with multiple uses.

@FarmerX.  As discussed the custom Executive built and tried to described. Picture gives better insight.

DAY 16

Given up on the house build today, needed a break....so have gone to work in the office....just finished a 4 hour team meeting and now lunch...

The Micra had a buddy to help with lunch today, a mod of a spoon in the bit holder works really well.

Micra, oh lil Micra!  Come out we got chores today! 🙄

He is hiding somewheres on my prep table…

His travel partner may get the call, a Style PS, oh no, there is no blade…

The Micra and Style make a good duo when traveling with checked bag, they fit nicely in a prescription bottle.

Yes I have, but I made this first...I started making bit holder mods for the MUT, but the skeletool lends itself so well.

I really want a hammer insert for the skeletool, but no UK sellers for it, and customs are rubbish for taking stuff that you order overseas...

Hello Awl
So finally now have my 2003 Land Rover Defender  licensed and ready to go .  :woohoo:

The import process took a while with a few hold ups on the way.
First job was the making the required additions to the key chain.  Now we are good to go !!
