As I prepare for the latest EDC load out pic, I realize that I missed posting the update from July (I shoot it every six months roughly).

So, here is the shot from July 09:

And details: http://www.flickr.com/photos/29913300@N08/3740950863/

This was an experiment of sorts. I bought (and LOVE) the CountyComm BOB. So I ditched the Fatboy for a while and went a whole new direction. But, the capacity of the BOB allows me to indulge in serious EDC excess.

So I am now back to a Fatboy again, this time in black. It really is the best size for me. Forces me to leave things at home. That update is coming soon.

:o That is one heck of a lot of gear to be lugging around with you.  Still, I suppose the extra exercise must be a good thing. :D

Both Ford and Chevy make something to handle that sort of EDC:

Glorn, thanks for the entertaining explanation of your stuffs... very good, especially breath repair kit

I really like your set up - my pack isn't quite as busy, but I carry stuff along the same lines.

OCD and proud :D

Oh, it was too much stuff, there's no question there. But it was also rather nice to have all of one's fiddly kit with you wherever you roam. That bag really has a lot going for it, especially in terms of organization and capacity. I am currently trying to find a new niche for it. I think it will become a travel bag though. But I have considered outfitting all of my EDC bags identically so that when the mood strikes I need only move wallet and Blackberry. Nah, that's crazy talk.  :ahhh

Speaking of trucks, the County Comm BOB is an ideal work bag. I do drive a truck as my daily vehicle, a Ford F-150 currently (I'd rather push a Ford than bail out Chevy), and that sort of bag is a good one to toss on the passenger seat. Tools and 8 1/2 x 11 pads are easily stowed along with an extension cord, water, and some gloves. Not a good bag strictly for tools alone, as it is not the right material for that, but for a small kit like I use, it works well.

But I have been back to my beloved Fatboy for a few months now, and have enjoyed the lighter EDC. I still remove things and then add them back in toward an ever increasingly weighty EDC, but this is my nature. Eventually, I may go minimal and drop the bag (I have done this occasionally for a year or so) but I think the Fatboy is what is working right now.

EDC or OCD, what more can I say..

But take care, this disease is contagious.

Welcome to MTO; I saw your update of your EDC over on EDCF, and I have to say, that's a nice improvement. :)

Anyway, here's an update of mine, now; granted, not much has changed.

Overexposed piece of folded printer paper
Overexposed handkerchief
Overexposed Alltel Samsung Hue II with 2GB MicroSD card inserted
Big Skinny Card Case (downgraded to this from my zippered thin card case; I like the change) with IDs, insurance cards, cash, and credit and debit cards
Maratac AAA
Victorinox belt hanger with:
Micro Widgy (moved there from my old Big Skinny wallet; still need to find a safe place to carry a USB drive now :/)
   Victorinox Rambler
   Uncle Bill's Sliver Grippers
   Photon II with white LED
Sunshine Product's Cash Can (now apparently discontinued in favor for a larger cash can, I think?  )
   Inka Pen
Victorinox SwissTool Spirit X with leather sheath
Victorinox Explorer Plus (typical EDC)
Victorinox 09 new Soldier (birthday gift from a friend; I've been carrying it on and off lately)

Soon to be added:
Casio wrissmurfch
USB drive (as soon as I can figure out a safe carry method)
