Day 25:

I tried to get through the whole month with no maintenance, but my SwissChamp just got too grungy. So tonight is cleaning and sharpening night. I love the precision applicator on the Hoppe’s No. 9 oil. Not seen is a spray can of WD-40, some paper towels, a diamond bench stone, a Spyderco fine bench stone, and a homemade leather strop.

So close, yet so far. I'm not sure I can keep up guys. I've fallen behind with the chaos of a new job and family. I'll keep checking in and seeing what's going on.

Day 25

Small blade on my Cybertool L to open a box of micro bits. These are too narrow too for the Cybertool, unfortunately.

MONSTER DAY 25

changed up my clip to make it easier to quickly grab the knife. removed the catch on one side of the S-biner using the ST BEAST pliers and now it's more like a suspension clip/hook. i'll have to keep testing it out.

used the small blade to open a fresh pack of doggy bags.

TOOLS USED SO FAR:
✅ Pen
✅ Flathead on cap lifter
✅ Magnifying Glass
✅ Small blade
✅ Reamer/Awl
✅ Cap lifter
✅ Scissors
✅ in-line Phillips driver
✅ Pliers
✅ Fish Scaler
✅ File
✅ Can Opener (MacGyver tool)
✅ Corkscrew

I have not found my Swiss Champ that disappeared when we moved to another campground.  I am “hovering” / monitoring this site have ordered a new knife. It is supposed to be here tomorrow afternoon.  I will have to make up a few days’ posts,

Been fun slowly reading all the other posts.

Day 26 Post

Found it!  Of course, it was in the last place I looked.  I now remember,  just before we rolled out of the first campground on our way to the next place the SAK was in a strange place and it got put in a “last minute” bag and fell into a deep corner.  Now it has surfaced.  I will be returning the new model SC as I just cannot justify two.  Well probably.  Darn addiction.

Day 27

More tag cutting from some new clothes. Blade works fine for this,  even though I would normally use scissors.

That happened to me with a Pioneer X. I was traveling and it was in a pair of shoes from that trip that I did not wear for awhile. I put my knives in shoes in my checked bags when flying. I found it after I had ordered a replacement. I kept it as a backup,  though.

Glad you found it!

MONSTER DAY 26

here is a shot of the 95 SwissChamp i took with me out exploring around off the grid- this is my catch up post from yesterday. Did a whole bunch of outside stuff hiking around; running around and surprisingly the pocket clip "mod" stayed hooked in place because of the weight of the SC. makes it extremely easy to just pull the tab and have instant access to so many tools!  :ahhh

used the mag glass and sissors multiple times. the small blade and pen as well.

Day 26: SC Pen was used to make note of a phone number. I placed it under the hook for a good grip! It was better than holding just the pen, although my edc Compact is more comfortable in the hand, obviously because of the size.

Day 27:

Using the magnifier to zoom in on the smurf plant that got me. Those little spines on the leaf stems of stinging nettle caused me some serious pain while I was mowing the lawn today, along the border of my neighbor’s yard. It felt like a hive of hornets had attacked me.
