DAY 18

This arrived over the past 48hrs but I can't really carry it until I'm off duty (can't take it to work)

It's my first Custom, a 93mm Voyager (not made by me obviously )

If anyone is interested the maker is UK based and was an absolute pleasure to deal with  :tu:

Apologies for the sloppy pics'  :-[
They don't like it up 'em!

Maybe we need a "I've got one but never have carried it" carry mini-challenge?  Anybody want to host one?  July 28th is open.  Let me know by PM.  Best wishes.  Gary

I always want to like the onions, and think they look great when I see pics. But I have one, and I never want to carry it.

I have to agree.  I totally forgot I had this. Found it in the bottom of a bag I infrequently use and decided it was good fodder to start some discussion.  Kind of like Gary’s mini-challenge comment in above post.

One of the members and I are trying to work out some details about a July 28 mini-challenge.  I am happy to offer the opportunity to others to participate in the mini-challenges from the planning end and not just the posting part.  Thanks to all who have pitched in with interesting posts for the minis.  I hope "Follow the Leader" has been a fun addition.
I will let you know how the negotiations and final disposition go with regards to the proposed July 28 event.  We still have some things to decide.  Best wishes.  G

Day 18. Large folders #2, my 112 Slim Selects

My wife (bless her heart),  said something back when, that I have since practiced on more than one occasion.
Her words, when I was reviewing Buck’s web specials trying to decide on one!  “Why only one!”

Mini Challenge Update
Day 20   Scheduled coffee/teacup challenge.  Show your mugs, cups, thermos bottles, whatever. Add a multi-tool if you wish.
Day 22  This one is NEW.  Our friend Zenostoic is doing a sort of EDC challenge.  Watch for his suggestions for this one. Should see some ideas by tomorrow.  Should be fun.
    Day 25   To be announced.
Day 27  Our friend SurgeUK wants to do a mini-challenge.  Should be plenty of time for everyone to follow his lead.  He will specify his requirements later.
    Day 30   To be announced.

Leeks are in my list of favorites, got them in plain edge, serrated edge, 12c28n blade, composite blade (with D2 edge iirc) ... Only thing I'd like better : having an option with KVT/IKBS instead of the speed safe assist

Trekker opening another box

BUT...
this one is special, this one isn't at work.
In all seriousness, I ordered a new generator about 2 days before I found out we were in the Byerl hurricane path.
It didn't arrive till last Thursday (luckily didnt need it this time) and unfortunately I've been down sick most this last week so I'm finally getting around to unpacking it.

Day 18.

A Roxon Phantasy with some interchangeable blades. Nice plastic storage system for the blades - they stack together using magnets. And a Victorinox diamond sharpener for a splash of color. (I've seen these cooking shows. Splashing seems important).

Another long day today (double shift  ::))
Those awlways suck. But your Wave is pretty sweet!

Meet FRED (field ration eating device), the Australian (although this one is MIC) crossbreed between a P-38 and those wooden spoons you get for free with some ice cream treats.
I have a similar deal: the Marble's "Camper's Best Friend." I seem to recall using it to eat a meal, and finding it rather time-consuming.

A cool flashlight multitool - Gerber Multi-Light.
I have one of those, with a loadout similar to yours. Unfortunately, the tools that fit in the little compartment on the underside are long gone.

Chilly cheese fries
 In-N-Out Burger will serve you fries "animal style" (covered with Thousand Island dressing, grilled onions, and cheese). They're even better with peppers on top!

My collection of Squirt E4s and ES4s:

[The knife is from Thailand.  Obviously some locally made item.
:like: and :like:

Just a quick wirst shot today
I like the look of silver and black!

A pair of Workchamps today...I love these models!!
Me, too!

More great stuff today, y'awl! :2tu:

Day 18

Today we're checking out...hot sauce?

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

It wasn't too spicy; I could probably drink it. What was interesting: it's made in Germany and bears (pun intended) a trademark owned by an English dude. It's the first such hot sauce I've ever encountered.

She spoke like a true MTO member.  :D

If there is only one thing I learnt from my wife--she is always right, even when she is not.

Five words to commit to memory, and you will know when to employ, because if you don’t it will not matter.

“YES Dear you are right!”
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

And I forgot to mention when banging up my photo post: I may or may not have a package coming tomorrow, depending on USPS. :twak:

I wanted to take a moment and THANK each fellow member the express condolences and sympathies and Good thoughts last week concerning the passing of my mother.
She lived life for 92 years, brought up four children, buried my father 21 years ago and carried on with grace and dignity.  Even has her memory faded.

Your words did bring comfort to this old person has he is now among the masses that are motherless on this earth.
