It seems like the Old Cross is really common on Electricians. Did they use up the extras on Electricians after they stopped putting them on Pioneers or something?

Day 18

Curious if anyone has any knowledge on Zippo knives. I probably got this Zippo money clip/knife in 2007. Tang stamp says Zippo and Bradford. Do they crank knives out at the factory along with the lighters? Do they just have Case make them and put a different tang stamp on? The box says "U.S.A Knife" but not "Made in" so I guess it could be from anywhere.

Nice collection of electricians
Day 18

Carried the Crunch and a Sodbuster today. Office carry. Stared at Excel spreadsheets all day long.  :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh

Used the s'buster to open my banana nut muffin.

(Image removed from quote.)
The Crunch is a cool MT
Those awlways suck. But your Wave is pretty sweet!
I have a similar deal: the Marble's "Camper's Best Friend." I seem to recall using it to eat a meal, and finding it rather time-consuming.
I have one of those, with a loadout similar to yours. Unfortunately, the tools that fit in the little compartment on the underside are long gone.
 In-N-Out Burger will serve you fries "animal style" (covered with Thousand Island dressing, grilled onions, and cheese). They're even better with peppers on top!
 :like: and :like:
I like the look of silver and black!
Me, too!

More great stuff today, y'awl! :2tu:

Day 18

Today we're checking out...hot sauce?

[ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ]

It wasn't too spicy; I could probably drink it. What was interesting: it's made in Germany and bears (pun intended) a trademark owned by an English dude. It's the first such hot sauce I've ever encountered.
Never seen that hot sauce before

DAY 18

This arrived over the past 48hrs but I can't really carry it until I'm off duty (can't take it to work)

It's my first Custom, a 93mm Voyager (not made by me obviously )

If anyone is interested the maker is UK based and was an absolute pleasure to deal with  :tu:

Apologies for the sloppy pics'  :-[

Those are beautiful green alox scales.  Do you know where he sourced them from?

Day 18

Going to borrow Gary's idea and post my travel carry for our electronic devices.

Every time we go out of town, I just pick up this bag and I'm ready to charge every phone, tablet, ear piece, digital watch, etc. that we own.  We're an Android family but I even have a connector for an iPhone should someone need it.  With all these cables, 3 chargers, and 2 battery packs, I have us covered.  I found the bag at an end cap in Target many years ago.

May the best of your past, be the worst of your future.

These are A Wright grafting knives with bone handls, these were my grandfather's. After he died, my grandmother threw everything he owned out into a lean to.....20 years later, as I am clearing the rubbish and rusty metal I find these two gems

Day 19: showing you my only good fixed blade. It's the Manly Drugar in D2 steel, a special production for a German dealer (Wanger Messer). It's a full tang construction with a thin and slicy blade and G10 handles. Probably not the best for batoning though the rain forest but great for everything else, especially hunting. I use to field dress deer.

Powernoodle Day 19

It doesn't seem like I'm carrying this much - but I am.  Plus dog doody bags in my back pocket I forgot about.  And wallet, phone and keys.

Day 19

My disorganized highly organized Allen key set.  In a one-time common tobacco tin.  One old timer told me the Prince Albert cans came with a little folder of rolling papers inside for a while.  Before the war I suppose.   I suspect most Prince Albert got incinerated in a pipe.
This tobacco brand fostered an ancient prank.  Someone goes into a store and asks, "Do you have Prince Albert in a can?"  The usual answer was, "Yes, we do."  Then the prankster would say, "You better let him out then."  And run away giggling with the rest of his 12-year-old jolly friends.
Best wishes.  G

Day 19

I changed my carry for last night after reading that there might be a mini-challenge for things we never carry.

Here’s one of my favourites instead of the safe queen I was going to take out.

Free P4 posing on a wood pile.

Day 18

Carried my most recent 84mm build.  4 layers and found a good use for the blade that comes with the My First Victorinox model.  Turned the rounded kiddie blade into a flat blade.  Opened a bunch of boxes, but didn't get any pics, so just a glamour shot.

That prank was even popular in my day, even via the telephone before caller ID.  That and is your “Refrigerator running??”

My maternal Grandpa smoked a pipe, and large Can of Prince Albert set on the top of a kitchen cupboard.

My paternal Grandpa was a cigar man. Dutch Masters or which ever brand gifted to him.   Also, a late afternoon stop at the Kalamazoo Cigar Store, to see if  his cousins had seconds available.
And interesting read found when sorting pictures for mom’s DVD picture show.

I really like the function of a 112 with a drop point blade.

I wish and missed opportunity was a LT with drop point when Copper & Clad had commissioned that style back in the day.

I enjoyed the cigar read.  Good history there.  I had a Buck 112 like the middle one on the right.  Wood and brass clip point.  Mine didn't have a nail nick.  Had to grip the blade to open it.  The synthetic handle models cured the one fault of the 112.  Too heavy for my pocket.  Best wishes.  G

Mini Challenge Update
Day 20   Scheduled coffee/teacup challenge.  Show your mugs, cups, thermos bottles, whatever. Add a multi-tool if you wish.
Day 22  This one is NEW.  Our friend Zenostoic is doing a sort of EDC challenge.  Watch for his suggestions for this one. Should see some ideas by tomorrow.  Should be fun.
    Day 25   To be announced.
    Day 30   To be announced.

Day 18
The knife is from Thailand.  Obviously some locally made item.  Best wishes.  Gary (IMR)

I've been to Ybor City.  Real cool place.

I remember using that tool to replace screens when I was a kid.  I used a screw driver at first until dad brought me that tool.

SOG PowerLitre and PowerPint.  The build quality is just ok, but they're still neat little multitools.  The pliers are too small for my needs, but I guess they're better than no pliers.

What's the trick to peening the pins so perfectly?

I have a modified punch that I use.  I made the end of it concave so that it's easier to make the pins/rivets rounded.  I actually have 3 modified punches, one for 1.5mm pins, one for 2.2mm/2.5mm, and one for 3mm pins.
