Received a new flashlight...
Is that titanium?

Received an Old Cross Electrician today:
:like:

went with a classic carry today- this explorer plus from the early 90s. awlso carried a titanium mechanical pencil and the red took flashlight made by reylight.
Good combo! :tu:

I suspect most Prince Albert got incinerated in a pipe.
I'd agree. I used to smoke Prince Albert in a cob. Cool tin, and great way to repurpose it!

I am pretty certain that Rich has all of these Leatherman OPTs, so he can't use today's entry to blame me for his impulses

More good stuff for today, y'awl! :2tu:

Day 19

This would have been a good one for Zenostoic's mini-challenge, had I seen that before taking today's photo. I have another idea for that, though. So here's an SAK that I came to appreciate way too late: the Victorinox Executive.

Here's my collection of Buck 110s and 112s.  Not quite as nice as LoopCutters collection

These would have been great pics for the Day 22 mini-challenge, but I'll post something different for that.

Hi, all!  I am the host for Day 25 mini-challenge, and would like to use this opportunity to do a preview for the upcoming mini-challenge! :hatsoff:

Day 25 Mini-Challenge (preview):  Forrest fire challenge!

The local fire department has contacted our neighborhood to warn that we may need to evacuate within the next 24-48 hours due to an uncontrolled forest fire in the area.

While the priority is to gather essential supplies for your family, if you have a brief window to collect some personal items, what would you choose to take from your EDC gear or collections?

Would it be something sentimental from a previous mini-challenge?  Or perhaps some valuable or trusted items you'd want to have with you?   Please share a photo with the rest of us!

And to think, by the name alone I thought the challenge was going to be starting a fire in the forest

I’m sorry to hear that it is not the case and you might have to evacuate.  I know all to well that situation and feel for anyone who has to experience.

Day 19

A couple other people posted their carry organizers, pouches, etc. Here's my Viperade V11, which is basically just a giant wallet (if they put a fancy clasp on it, I think it might count as a clutch purse...) I picked it since it had a pouch for the notebook, and mostly large pouches. The ones with lots of tiny ones feel like they're just complicating things to hold less.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

The front holds whatever pen I'm carrying that day. Right now it's the multitool pen I showed earlier in the challenge, since the fountain pen won't write on...

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

These weatherproof Fieldnotes. I got some with the regular paper, but I figure I'll fill this one first. This is also where my cash and cards live.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

The back holds small/flattish tools (to help make it firmer to write in the notebook). A small lens, FRED, and Pocket Wrench II.

Yes.  They also come in aluminum, but I prefer the looks of this one.

Day 19
When hiking in the summer heat and humidity, I prefer a hip pack instead of having something on my back

Day 20: here's my favorite coffee mug. I've shown it a couple times in the SAK & coffee thread, but since we should post our favorite, here it is again with some fresh coffee to start the day!

Day 20
Had the Do a Kahlua mug for years.  Finally dug it out of a shed last winter some time.  A woman keeps giving me these K-cups or whatever you call them.  Naturally I don't have one of the machines.  One holds enough to make a couple of cups of coffee.  Today it is Green Mountain something or other.  I had some yesterday.  Not too bad.  Most everyone else's coffee on here looks different than mine.  I must be doing something wrong.
Best wishes.  G

We rarely drink coffee at my home, but, strangely enough, my wife does have a coffee bar    :dunno:

@zoidberg it could be yours, I'm going to write a review for it and after that I dunno. It's a curious piece but don't know how practical. It honestly doesn't need the detent or liner lock. The mechanism could make it operate like a friction folder. Heck get rid of the flipper tab as well.

Powernoodle Day 20

This is my version of coffee and tea.  Every morning, the first thing I drink is a Monster Energy Zero Ultra ("White Monster" to insiders).  I follow that up throughout the day with hibiscus tea and matcha green tea, which are two of the most healthful drinks you can put in your body.  Shown with Spyderco Police 4 Lightweight.

DAY 20  You want mug shots, I've got mug shots.  Our coffee mugs all have photos of the dogs we have or have had.  My only Spydercos are slipjoints, with an 84mm SAK for scale.

Day 20 Post

Here are a couple of our tea mugs, protected by two Knights.  One has a steeping lid that works well.

Gary - If I ever held a k-cup pod, I do not remember that event.  I’m not that advanced.
Fireman - I like the dog mugs.

Day 20

Not my finest photography, but here’s the 1kg bag of beans I’m currently working on along with some of the cups I use.

I take the Aeropress Go to work on nights, and use the larger Le Creuset mug with a standard Aeropress at home, very occasionally the espresso cup with a stovetop mokka pot.

My Free P2 was in my pocket for last night’s shift.

Nice carry!  I have been hooked with sling bag for the last year or two, plenty of room to fit in all my toys tools, but not too hot in the summer.  :D
Please share a picture of your bag.
A SLING style bag has been monitored for my use, but I have been employing at different times one of two different sizes of waist style backs, just worn as cross body strapping.
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!
