Good old powernoodle.  When he posts something, you know what you are looking at.   I had to think about the one from zeno with the red Knipex thingie from OLFA (what is OLFA, one less fone to answer?)  I figured out that the Knipex deal must be one of those utility cutters where you break off the dull part.  Still don't know what OLFA is.
Don't forget.  Tomorrow is zeno's Day 22 mini-challenge.  The one is none deal.  Look it up if you forgot the details.  G

Tomorrow is zeno's Day 22 mini-challenge.

In post #1150, he wrote:

"For Day 22, the challenge is to post a picture showcasing your EDC gear where you have multiples (2 or more) of the exact same model of knife or other gear!

So show us your "Two is One, One is None" mindset on Day 22."

Exact same model is "exact exact" ? (Same model, same variant like if different scales or colors available it is not considered same?)
Like Squeletool RX red and orange are not "same"?

The red and orange Skeletool RXs should be just fine. My photos for tomorrow will show knives with different scales/handles, but they're the same basic models.

Another great day, y'awl! :2tu:

Day 21

After having to forgo coffee yesterday morning, I downed a coffee Monster. Then I found the pictured bottle at Meijer...much better. It was a dark roast, unsweetened, and made in my state.

My daily carry sling bag.

I love that a single Modl Infinity strap works well at holding a 24oz water bottle even when walking around,

Day 21.

A bit delayed. Got tired of the computer and went hiking for rocks instead. The detector says metal other than iron, and the magnet seemed to agree on that at least. Ended up houling 42 kgs of beeping uncivilized rocks several km back to civilization. I need a new hobby... There better be something - anything!  ::)

Sorry for the cryptic post.. my post shows a KNIPEX Cutix which is a utility knife.

This link shows some good pictures.
https://www.knipex.com/products/special-pliers/knipex-cutix-universal-knife/knipex-cutix-universal-knife/9010165BK

I've always used the Japanese utility knives from olfa, and this is the first time in years that I'm using something else, in this case the Knipex Cutix. What attracted me to this model is it has an added spine to support the utility blade for heavier cutting tasks!

The red and orange Skeletool RXs should be fine.
The idea is to have the same base model with the same tool set.

  DAY 21

today was a wonderful day visiting with friends at the vacation beach house spent some good times out on the beach and had a great long swim. grilled up some sea bass, haddock and filet mignon for 14 people so I had my hands full on the grill and wasn't able to snap any pictures. Tomorrow I will be sure to snap some better ones. Here is a shot of todays carry the silver FX and Weltool T8 Plus TAC resting a coral lamp that i got many years ago.

Day 22: one is none, two is one - what an excellent motto for a mini challenge!

I have more than a dozen Soldiers plus some Pioneers, but I have those because I collect them. But I am also guilty of the "one is none" thought. I keep a spare of my most important EDC items, which is the Compact (carried that model for years until I started rotating my SAKs recently) and a Olight AAA flashlight. The spare flashlight came in handy twice: I once lost one and immediately replaced the spare with a new one. The new spare also saw some use when the tail switch broke on my carry light, which was thankfully replaced by Olight for free.

The 58mm Signature is my preferred companion for a Pioneer/Soldier, since I need tweezers, a pen, a nail file and scissors. This model is discontinued unfortunately, that's why I got some spares when I saw some for sale (for a cheap price).

The spare Compact has never been needed. But better have it and not need it than needing it and not having it. ;)

Day 22

One is none, and two is one

I’ve actually got another Crunch tucked away, still sealed, and one of the Micras is new to me just last week, found in a car park.

How does everyone else decide which to carry if they have two? I usually carry my second best P4 and Minitool.
