Powernoodle Day 19

(Image removed from quote.)
Today while getting in 7,834 steps at the state fair, my NexTool Mini Flagship was accompanied by a Roxon KS2E Noir.  The Roxon's scissor is pretty large - bigger than the Leatherman Surge scissor.

How would you compare the KS2E to the Mini Flagship scissors?
Yes, PS4 prices are borderline extortion!
PST and BONDs can be found at much more reasonable prices.   And, I am please for the most part with my impulse purchase of the NexTool S11.

The scissors are…

Day 19

Did scissor comparison be teen S11 and LM XE6

[ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ]

The S11 is just to small, a file or serrated blade would be a better option for my large fingers.

You might want to try the Mini Flagship, its scissors are similar in size to a LM Micra.

It was interesting that friend Echo put a bottle of hair tonic in his post.  I just saw the little display of Reuzel thingies in the barber shop yesterday.  I wish I had known Echotech was in the barber shop.  I would have said hello.  Best wishes.  G

:waving:

Sorry I missed you Gary  :D

It's a very god looking barber shop you go to, mine is in the basement of an office tower...here in Sydney most barbers (hairdressers I s'pose) seem to be very pleasant Korean ladies
She put some of that lotion on my hair so thought I'd try it, i use their beard tonic so why mot methinks......not looking as good today as when she did it unfortunately, my thinning locks aint what they used to be  ::)

When we lived in the Dallas area, my son and I would go to an old school barber shop in our area.  I looked a good while until I found one that gave me that vibe.  Once we moved to the Austin area, I looked again and I found another one that had that similar vibe.  Only difference was that they were all barberettes.

Day 19

My wife wouldn't let me open the package of napkins like a Neanderthal so I used my knife to keep her happy.  Happy wife, happy life.  :D

Thank you.  I will examine that model if I choose to dive deeper into the NEXTOOL pool.

I will admit scissors are not my implement of choice. Very few function any longer as result nerve issues I experience at this stage of old age.
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Day 19

Carrying my Pakkawood Delica and Dime today. No action for either today. Did manage to get the house pressure washed today. Still need to finish pressure washing our covered patio. Figured four hours of grunt labor was enough. Started at 4:00pm and ended at eight.

Powernoodle Day 20

How would you compare the KS2E to the Mini Flagship scissors?

I have not used the Roxon scissors much yet.  But assuming that they function as expected, the Roxon scissors are a bit larger than the NexTool Mini Flagship scissors.  The cutting edges on the Roxon are only slightly larger than those on the NexTool, but you can choke up and get a full 4-finger grip on the Roxon handle.  So the Roxon scissors are a little closer to being "real" scissors.  The flip side is that the Roxon is larger in every dimension than the NexTool, and heavier.  So you don't get anything for free.  But in my EDC, scissors are far more useful than mini pliers, for package opening, etc.  There are no pliers on the Roxon.  For pure scissors ergonomics, the Roxon beats the NexTool, but at the cost of size and weight of the MT, and lack of pliers.

Bonus information:  "Scissors" is a pluralia tantum.   This means that it's a noun that only exists in the plural form, even when referring to a single item.

Day 20

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

Pocket duty today.

Also, added a zipper lead to this, bright color.

(I dropped it this morning, it bounced, blended into the floor)
This lanyard wannabe will help to locate hopefully if a repeat occurrence is planned by this little tool.
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

DAY 19.  I forgot to post these last night.  Testing proves, testing works.  I hope you awl appreciate my sacrifice for science.

Amazon bags are tough.  The PS4 scissors could not cut.  I tried a SAK and it cut, but would take forever.  The PS4 blade cut, but not as well as the SAK blade.  However, the SAK is new and the PS4 is used, so we call it a tie.

For some reason I'm having difficulty in deciding which tool to use for the Friday mini challenge.  I'm leaning towards the SOG, but I've still got options.

I have not used the Roxon scissors much yet.

Well, I did do some scissoring  with the Roxon KS2E, and it cut extremely well.  Getting a full grip while using the scissors is fantastic.

You know, if you are into that kind of thing.

I have not yet used the saw, but the main blade is D2 steel with a liner lock.  I am always a fan of a real, 3D phillips, which this one has.  The flat driver is smaller than I would like, but it is there.  Plus you get a decent file, glass breaker, bit holder with bits, bottle opener, bottle opener, tweezer and awl.

I had not intended to turn this into a mini review, but here it is anywayz.

I've not had the opportunity to try them, but I can definitely see them as useful for someone that just needs a set of forceps or super tweezers.

`Day 20

Package duty today.  The little blade made short work of that strap and tape holding the box closed.  No multitool items I'm afraid but it will help me with working on the cars.

Sorry about the nerve issue.  For me scissors are a frequently used edc tool.
