Day 28: Putting the Dime to use tightening a loose door latch.  I'll say this, the Dime feels solid and well built!

My shoulder was giving me a bit of trouble yesterday afternoon after trying to make the castle grounds look better for the Queen Bee.  Decided to call in sick and relax on the back porch and watch the bird feeders instead.
I was surprised to find a parcel in the mailbox as it had been lost in the bowels of the USPS for quite a long time.

I'm in the process of dealing with them again... A package of fossils was supposed to come from Utah to South Carolina ;  a supposedly 2 day journey, in an east southeasterly direction, for some reason unknown even to the USPS, decided to visit Seattle, Washington,

Post Office says that it's in transit, to the next stop, but can't say where that stop may be.

Day 28

Cut open a new Ryobi weed whacker using the small blade.  Used the pliers to pull some cotter pins.  Used the large flat head to tighten down a screw.

Day 29

I was pretty sure that I still had my MacGyver challenge pen somewhere.  Papermate stick pen with a big paperclip held on with duct tape.  I salvaged the MacGyver wonder tool from it.  Then I twisted it into my initials.  The Swiss+Tech is difficult to use because the 'legs' of the pliers don't lock into position.  Also, the plier jaws jam together tightly because the area behind them acts as shears.  Gotta pull them apart to get a new grip.  I remember using the wire cutting notch and shears to strip insulation from some wiring.
I intended to use this thing as a zipper pull on a winter coat, but it was annoying.  I did carry it in my belt pack for quite a while but finally took it out.  After several years of that (with no usage), I finally took it out.  I can see where a keychain plier-based tool could be useful.  With a blade.
So, it's back in a drawer for this thing after tomorrow.  Best wishes.  G
 ;)
