Day 1

711L mini ratchet. This is just about perfect for a keychain. Put it on a clip, done. The Steinwhale stubby bits are also excellent for these ratchets.
This can also be found branded by Signet, and comes with a flat case and a bit set, for 4 dollars more, so if you like the idea, maybe go for that one.

As I  am at GMT+8 my day 1 has started.

Sellery sandwich 16 teeth. The first ratchet I have. Nothing really special but it works. Bought when I moved out, and it has put together most of the furniture in my home.

Comes with a set of bits an extender and a set of sockets. I still use the bits it comes with except the two worn out ph2 that I have replaced with a new ph2 and pz2.

It's cheap. It works.

That is never a bad thing  :tu: :D

Starting with a 5.11 ratchet, which quite nice in itself but the carrying method is ... Not (bits fall from the plastic holder ...)

Awesome start, and my exact thoughts on my first tiny sandwich ratchet. Cheap, no fancy features, but put together and took apart tons of things.

I remember that from the ratchet thread. I haven't seen it in Amazon lately...

In the wallet are a selection of Chapman bits.  Wallet used to identify the brand name of the mini ratchet.

Per the locked up wallet comment above,  I may add a few more ratcheting tools along the way.

I used my Klein mini ratchet, 6" bit holder, and a 5/16" bit driver to remove some screws from this old electrical panel. My friend Matt to the photo  :tu:

Day 1:

Starting off with my most used ratchet, a Mac 1/4” drive I’ve had for around 20 years.  For most of my tools I started with craftsman back in the day and replaced the ones that I broke over and over with nicer ones. That’s how I ended up with the Mac. Have yet to strip the teeth in this one.

Used it to take off the screws to get a motor part number for my washing machine.

Also shown with the zipper pouch I keep it in that has sockets, wrenches and extensions. This goes in my briefcase style toolbox that stays in the house. More about that here.

Day 2
A 1/4 sq ratchet from a rubicon set. Around 70 to 80 teeth. handle is not steel, may be aluminium. It has a release button on the back of the head. I got a 1/4 sq to hex adaptor from China. Putting them together, it can drive hex driver bit, however, with added stack height. Which can be a good or bad thing. But it is always easier to add than reduce  length.

Day 1:

Well, I'm not sure if this is some kind of coincidence or perhaps an ominous omen.  But just as we are starting this 30 day ratcheting tool challenge, I happen to have just purchased a Murphy Bed that I am expected to be able to assemble with the tiny allan wrench and a screw driver.   ::)  I assume that this undertaking will span the next 4 to 5 days of my free time.  (hopefully not longer)

Anyway,  I carry a Leatherman ratcheting bit driver on me about 5 or 6 days a week.  I also carry several ratcheting drivers in my tool bag.

Day 1
It's late, got off work about an hour ago and realized I completely forgot the challange....

Yea, great start

So here is an introduction to my EDC ratchet, a Craftsman ratching box 1/4 & 5/16. It rides in the leather slip with that 4in Crescent adj wrench
I used to be a lot of things, and someday will again.
But for now I'm just a lost jack of trades with neither mastery nor home. ~NoaIsumi

DAY 1

Great start awl  :salute:

I took these yesterday with the intention of posting them later in the day.

However, a neighbour was having birthday party and I'm afraid beer and banter got in the way  :pok:
These are what I envisage carrying mostly for the challenge with the usual caveat that I can't take them to work (they frown upon tools at the airport  :twak:)

Not sure if I'll have any uses today so fingers crossed for a job or two around the house  :dunno:

Stay frosty awl  ;)
They don't like it up 'em!

Temporarily removing the second row seats in my Sequoia.  This 3/8” Snap-on flex head ratchet is usually my first choice as you can tell by the “trail rash”
