Sounds interesting, Gordon.  How about a photo of your Companion with all the tools open?  Best wishes.  Gary

Compact.  I like it.  There have been rumors flying around for a while about a red cellidor Companion, but I don't think they are out there.  Nice photo.  Hope things are well where you are.  Best wishes.  Gary

This arrived last week. Listed on Amazon for $39.

I added it to my cart when learned it was a 91mm and included PEN and micro driver.

Interesting 😉

The COMPANION I received does not have that implement.   I have blade, cap lifter, scissors, corkscrew and hook  (backside), plus tweezers, toothpick and pen (in the scale)
Yours sounds like the Compact.  The Companion is a newer model that currently is only available with the special NY/Paris/Sydney scales.

Day 11:
No picture in action but I used some of my gorilla tape to cover up some of the frayed cable on my grandpa's walker brakes.

Day 12:
Used my new Bigfoot Tinker to cut up some lunch for my 2yo at my nephew's birthday party

It is a COMPACT 🙄☺️🙄☺️😞

Read it wrong, or was mislabeled on paged. Likely I read incorrectly. Trouble with old age, and waiting to determine cataracts or Macular degeneration is causing my blury issues.

Embarrassing

Nothing to be embarrassed about.  If I had to say I was sorry every time I made a boo boo, I wouldn't have time for anything else.  Lots of members talk about Compacts.  Anyone who grabbed on to one while it was greatly reduced in price is a winner.  Best wishes.  G

Day 13

Switched out the tinker for the sportsman as just around home today , so lost small blade and 3d Phillips but gained file and corkscrew . Will see what other jobs we can find besides opening sausages for wife's breakfast .

Agree.  Misreading or miss hearing happens to me frequently.

And agree a Compact at the rediced price you got it for is a great pickup.

Day 12

In preparation for our fishing trip tomorrow, I had the same dinner Nick Adams has in Big Two Hearted River, Hemingway's classic fishing short story, pasta with baked beans. Was pretty tasty.

Day 12
Today I used some Leuko tape, which is almost always in my edc as well, to cover up a hotspot on one of my toes while out walking with the dog.

Hemingway's story says a can of pork and beans heated with a can of spaghetti.  Pour on some ketchup at the finish and eat with bread.  Doesn't sound so very different than the Brit's old time favorite of beans and toast.  Except for the spaghetti.
I have had sausages with spaghetti before and approve of that variant.  I think I will substitute pasta sauce for the ketchup, and rotini for the spaghetti.  A little cajun seasoning and some canned baked beans.  Might make a baked deep dish meal out of it instead of cooking on a stove top.  We will see.  The penne pasta with beans that friend Bob had looked delicious.  I would use penne if I had any on the shelf.  Best wishes.  G

PS  Culinary experiments are never wasted around my place.  The critters will happily dispose of any flubs.  And often have.  G

The local HS football team was doing a fundraiser. I decided helping the kids get some new helmets was worth taking some liberties with the recipe. Let me know how it is for you, in whatever variant you wind up with.

I hope Echotech and Storm are feeling better by now. And the '80s Rubik's Cube is way too cool. The newer ones don't have stickers.

Great work by all! :2tu:

Thanks FX, on anti biotics and improving

Day 12

My Spartan saved the day. Was on a bike ride and had a blowout. Tire had a cut. Used the old inner tube to form a patch and protect my new tube so I could get home. Time for new tires. Glad I had the Spartan Seth me out it would have been a very long walk home. I probably could have used the duct tape too. Took photo when I got home safely.

Day 12

Had some clean up to do in garage on a long stalled project.  Had to dispose of the uh... "evidence" in black trash bags.  Some of the evidence attempted to escape so I made sure to secure it with the quack tape.
