It's a wrench. Four in one. Yes the round hole is a tool. How could that be? Best wishes. G

Spaghetti and nuts. Might need some sauce and a little cheese and we could have a good meal. There are people on here who know what this is. For certain. They are probably just letting everyone else have a shot at it. The round part actually works really well. Best wishes. G

Might need a hint. The hole is about 7/8 of an inch. So....you figure that whatever fits in the hole (if anything does) would need to be about 7/8 of an inch. Hmmmm? Best wishes. G

I will tell you how the round hole works. It is used instead of a pair of pliers to tighten a knurled 7/8 inch diameter piece of tooling. Simply slip it over the top and then pivot one end of the wrench either up, down, or sideways. It binds on the knurled section and holds firm enough to tighten or loosen. Doesn't mess up the knurled section like pliers. Best wishes. G

The round hole being knurled makes perfect sense. I just can't figure out what it would be used for. About the closest I can come is a C-cell MagLite.

That is a very cool wrench!
Is it a standalone type thing or dlis it a part of some specific equipment like a camp stove or something? I have seen tools like that offered with stoves to maintain or repair them.

Specific. It came with Lyman dies. I have never seen the principle of a friction wrench used for anything else. Perhaps there is? Best wishes. G
