As far as metal slab built slipjoints go the Meyerco Sailor is a pretty solid work knife.
The sheapsfoot blade cuts well, the can opener works, the springs aren't too tight, and the shackle key exists....but the spike is its special trick and it is solid with a sharp tip.

had no idea,   :dunno:    or recollection of a GAW within this excellent fellowship of crazy folk!

Thank you, I am feeling so undeserving.

Congrats to a well-deserving member of the challenge.  And regards to friend Aztec for the kind gift.  Now friend Gordon can put a RR in a left pocket and a right for better balance.  I would caution use of the freaky can opener/finger mangler.  Best wishes G

Yup, posted about it right here.  It's where I show that the can opener bit me.  I've never had a can opener bite me before.

Congrats LoopCutter. Guess you'll have to get a fall camping trip in to test it.

Congrats LoopCutter!!  PM me your address and I'll get your Rough Ryder out to you this week.

And as reported by AzteCypher, the gift which he selected has arrived.
It was delivered in SATURDAY’s mail, and oddly the carrier had a bandage on his right hand🥹

So care was demonstrated last night and again this morning!   A broken nail did occur, as the springs on this are very much a 6.5 on the blade side and a definite 7 on the driver/cap lifter.

A beautiful tool, and I love a Rough Rider that was made when the brand used the ‘I’ before changing to the ‘Y’ !!!

A CAMP KNIFE, that I will cherish, and I will place on display alongside the RED LEAP, from FOLDERBEHOLDER, in the display case.

Thank you for an enjoyable month, shared with a fantastic bunch of like minded MTo family. ☺️

If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Now that its unsure if the Locked Blade SAK will become reallity, I did again start Pocketcarrying the Böker Tech tool whit almost Swisschamp Toolset (expect Metal Saw, Magnifier Glass, Screwdriver.., its actually not a bad SAK Clone, even though I still don't understand why its don't have an Can Opener.. (maybe because all Can Openers on Multitool Sucks that are not from Victorinox? I have also an Swisschamp Spirit in my Pocket..
Your SAK is only fully yours, when it bites you, or you opend a Trink of your joice whit it
SAKs i have: Huntsman Light (Red Transparent), Workchamp (Black), Wenger EvoGrip S557 (Red), Swisschamp XLT (Red Transparent).. Swisschamp (Blue Transparent) Cybertool L (Blue Celidor (custom scales) , Huntsman (Black Celidor) , Victorinox EvoGrip S557 (Red, but sadly lost in my house somewhere) Victorinox Delemont S17 and S57 ..  , waiting for: Swiza D09 Blue

Lots of generous members here.  I like the display.  You are right about the springs.  They are heavy duty on this model Ruff Rida.  The awl is really hard to open.  And almost as pointy as a needle.  I think I carried mine about half the challenge, and my TL-29 the other half.
Best wishes.  G

@matzesu - My favorite is the Wenger one but both Wenger and Vic are my preferred can openers.

@LoopCutter - Awesome display!  Would you mind showing us the rest of it?

No problem
It was a gift from my son a couple years ago.

Lego character display, he bought one for his son, another for himself for his zippos after seeing how they fit.  Price varies, the listing current is high.

Awesome display and collection.  Really liking those green Case on the right.

CASE name this scale ‘Burnt Bright Green Bone Corn Cob Jig Bone’.    Dealers nickname Lizard skin.  I bought the trappers for the  Wharncliffe blades and the SodBuster for the matching color.

For you, a better picture
