That green(?) Spirit sheath, droooool...

Where can I get one? It needs to be in my life!

I'm afraid it only comes with the BO CC Spirit X, which is still a bit expensive on its own... :-\

Not sure about that...

Just been searching on eBay and found this:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VICTORINOX-Nylon-Etui-4-0822-4-f-SwissTool-Spirit-NEU-/260649914732?pt=DE_Sport_Camping_Outdoor_Campingmesser_werkzeug&hash=item3caff2116c

There's a few other on there as well, it seems the sheath is also being marketed with the Forrester (Feststellmesser) and Soldier (Soldatenmesser)

Can anyone here reveal what the dimensions are for a spirit?  Seems like Victorinox is taking it as a top secret and not listing it on their webpage.

Thanks in advance.

Looks like I'm back, have a spirit x on the way. Maybe it's just me but I actually prefer the original blade, complements my EDC folder well.

If you ever want to swap for the butter knife, let me know.  I will be in Montreal around Christmas too...  Shipping across Canada (I'm in Vancouver) would likely be too costly.

Well, got my new sheath for the Spirit and I'm impressed. A vast improvement on the standard one. For anyone interested I got it from here:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270621298038&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

Postage took about 3 days to arrive (from Germany to the UK)

I've bought from them too, they are good sellers. BTW I'm also a member of this elite Spirit club actually, I'll have to post a cool photo some time.

10.4 x 3.4 x 1.4 (centimeters)
4.1 x 1.3 x 0.6 (inches)

The main blade (sheepfoot version) is (tang to tip) 5.9 cm (2.3 inches)

Now... go get one! :salute: :D

So my Spirit came today. How do I sharpen the PE portion of the peanut butter blade? It's chisel ground, so I can't use my crock sticks. Also I want another sheath for it. I got the nylon one, but I want something without velcro. Black nylon would be nice. The smaller the better. Any suggestions?

Crocksticks or Sharpmaker will work fine on chisel edges , just do one side and deburr the other . You can use them Insitu , or as a ceramic file . As to a nice Nylon sheath , go to your local Police/Uniform supply , and find a Nylon Mag. pouch that suits you .

Thank you so much, now I actually have a good and sharp blade. I did about 10 passes on the ground side with my crockstick. The I did one pass backwards on the other crockstick to remove the burr. Finally about three passes on my wallet (my excellent strop). It's a slicer now.

I have the standard "butter knife" with nylon.  (Incidentally I used mine for spreading butter  :D)

right on!  :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh
its always good to know that when I happen to be at a heavy metal concert, that I have the spirit S there with 2 blades to augment the Satan sign \m/
I do have one thing with the spirit, my practically new spirit has a torsion thing in it, looking at the tool with pliers open, it looks a bit twisted (by 2mm or so), as if I'd used the pliers to twist something quite heavily (which I haven't). Is this normal? It doesn't affect the function at all.

Yes I think its normal , on mine you can notice it when the pliers are shut and the handle aren't quite level .
