I do love those Yeomans! One day I'll find a nice original to go with my two customs (one cellidor, one with titanium scales)

Yeoman  :climber:

That is a fine piece. BSA one too. Seems like it's Yeoman season these days. I was just on the 'bay looking for a 91mm multi-opener donor to put one together and instead ended up buying this completely unremarkable but useful Climber for $7.25 shipped. Mainly got it so I can participate in 3-layer Thursday!

I kinda like the letters on the blade, but does anybody know if these can be removed with a dremel polishing wheel/jewelers rouge?
And deprive Sheila Sexsmith?

Sheila is a classic, Sheila and Smeen and Nacho are all staying (though I want to replace the front scale on Nacho, which is currently a printed Camping scale, with the old inlaid tent camping scale)

Those are all scale engravings though, not sure about this blade marking, it's an advertisement, but it sounds like a name "ELMA" so I'll probably keep it.

That's an amazing blue. I love seeing blue OCs.

Also, didnt realize there was a fisherman variation with a file...gonna read up on this...I never collected the fisherman and anglers since I'm not much of a scaler user, but I love the inlays.

I don't fish either, but I do love the inlay. I have 5 different models with it, I think that's all of them.

Thanks  :salute:

This guy had four of these for sale, and the bids weren't that high so I bid on all four of them in the last ten minutes of the auction. Then -a bit to my surprise- I ended up winning three out of the four 8)  :ahhh

That's cool, especially those lanyards which are a unique design I've not seen before - usually the plastic bit on the end is translucent black, not coloured

I have never seen them before either, maybe that's a new design or a customer service's exclusive ?

Edit: new design

Interesting, not seen them on sale anywhere yet. Hope they'll still do the all black ones (or even better, black cord with a red plastic toggle), as I prefer those on my red knives, as contrast.

here is a close up picture of those full red/orange lanyards (I don't have any black ones to compare)

edit : looks like it is NOT a new design as a member here had one back in 2013

Just picked up a rather rare Wenger. The Swiss Sportsman is a variation of the Traveler, with a locking main blade and a flat Phillips in place of the nail file. In the U S it was normally sold through LL Bean and marked with their logo. This version is un-branded and has a serrated main blade. Both SAKwiki and Smartknives only list the Bean version.
