I always buy a Victorinox sheath with these kind of Swiss knives.
I will never use this one, after all i have a regular SwissChamp for EDC.

Fair enough. Probably what I'd have done as well. I'd be too paranoid to scratch it.. :)

Oh that reminds me, I bought a rosewood Champ a month ago but haven't received it yet.
You should seriously visit vicfan.com. All the hoopy froods are doing it.

Yes Rosewood, the early models had the toothpick and tweezers but this one hasn't. :(
But i like it as it is. :D

 :gimme:

Looks really nice tbh.

I wonder how durable it is?

The cheaper hardwood version looks nice too but this one's a lot nicer. It's got a proper shield as well.

Can you give a link to the hardwood version?

Not mine. I am waiting on shipping instructions. After a little filework to be able to get all the tools open. Oops couldn't stop. After a little Dawn, Flitz, 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500 grit sandpaper and Novus #2, a 8.5 -9 in my book. It came as a 5.

Just back from TattooSteve. A Wenger Microtechnician (Minathor) with custom carbon fiber/blue G-10 handles. Steve did a great job of inletting the handles to the Wenger.

Thanks again, Steve!  :tu:

Got a couple of Wengers on my wish-list too... an S14 soft touch, and an S16 with the yellow scales.

I love my S18, but I can't stand these PER-scales.
I love the yellow scales!  I'm a big fan of high visibility, and I've come to like the yellow more than the orange.  If you don't like the scales, pop 'em off and send them to me; I'll give them a good home! :D

You got me all wrong there. I do love the yellow colour. It's the Patagonian engraving that's getting on my nerves.

Ah, okay.   :tu:

I broke down today and went ahead and ordered a black Compact to replace the one in pieces on my workbench in the garage.  With any luck, once my order for pin stock and other stuff comes in I'll be able to make it into a Yeoman with parts from my old Explorer.

The tool holder carries a variety of Bergeon watch repair tools. There is a removable handle in which the tools are inserted for use. In addition to the tool for removing snap-off watch backs and a special file/screwdriver, the screwdriver on the tip of the magnifying glass has also been modified for working on watches. The special pointed tweezers is also used to remove the small tools from the holder.

I've taken apart (i.e. destroyed) a couple of old alarm clocks. I've never worked on a wrist watch or pocket watch, and seriously doubt I ever would. If I was to work on watches I think I would get more specialized tools. I doubt the average watchsmith uses one of these. Still it's a neat knife.

I have found that the
tool for removing snap-off watch backs
does a perfect job in replacing the SAK scales

A Wenger Standard Issue, N.I.B.  my first Alox..

and in Separate eBay buys I picked up a Wenger Watch and the SAK that is shown in the engraving on the case back.
Both are quite "pre-loved" but make a nice "matched pair" for the EDC rotation.
