Three at once: an older NIB Fisherman (scissors with screw, split Philips driver for opening tin cans, awl without hole) and Road Tour Edition Climber (both thanks to our friend Tim / Felinevet ) and an older but like new Wenger Serrated Backpaker. Pics spread over a few posts due to the limit of pics per posting.

Is this a Backpacker? It looks closer to an Adventurer.

I asked the same question about the same exact knife, somewhere in this thread.  Consensus was that it is an Adventurer.  Eddie Bauer just put backpacker on the blade for whatever reason...   Great knife, mine sees a lot of use.  :tu:

A true Backapacker I believe just shown above in my post :D Yours here looks to be an Adventurer (not Traveler because of the lockign blade) with the Backapacker name on the blade, maybe named as such for the Eddie Bauer run (maybe EB did not want people to call this SAK a Eddie Bauer, thus the bold BACKPACKER inscription :D). Or: mine is an ordinary backpaker and yours a spetzial Eddie Bauer backpacker.

I have the same knife but with a small blade instead of the nail file. I haven't had any luck IDing it. So it is a backpacker or adventurer?

It's an Adventurer / Securite 14 (16836 / 1 14 53). The Teton (16984) has a small clip blade rather than a nail file. The Backpacker II (16944) has a wood saw instead of the scissors and a small clip blade. The Serrated Backpacker (16444) has a saw, small clip blade and phillips screwdriver. At least those are the names Wenger used. Eddie Bauer may have sold it under their own name.

Here's a similar knife from Eddie Bauer with pale gold anodized aluminum handles. Don't have a more specific name for it (Galahad variation?). The awl isn't extended because of pressure on the spring.

The Backpacker originally was a series of knives, similar to the Pioneer Series and only later became a one man show as did the Pioneer as you can see from this 1979 Ad

What about your Morgarten, Laupen & Sempach?

Basilio, I have read your topic several times in the past and was one of the reasons why I decided to pursue this set.  :D

About the 3 knives, they were sold to me not all with the same serial number, the seller had two sets, one with all the same numbers and individual boxes, he sold me the individual boxes so the awl does not have the sewing-eye (on all 3 knives). To be honest I was ok with the individual boxes as the serial numbers are quite low ones.  also the Victorinox written in the main blade has the Capital V that jazzbass mentions in the same thread.

The Teton (16984) has a small clip blade rather than a nail file.

I have found an interesting variation of the Teton with corkscrew (documented on the wiki) and a partially serrated main blade (not yet documented).
Will post a picture in the "Wenger topic".

I get 40 mm and 220 g. One of these tries I will have to stumble upon the new Swisschamp, unless they come up with a new tool. Here it is with a Swisschamp and a XLT.
(Image removed from quote.)

Love that tool buy the way,, How come they dont make a sak with torx screws and you could cofigure what ever you want. Buy whatever tools you want, that would be awesome. Do you do mods for members ?

Made a new SAK today. I went for a Climber-style SAK but without the hook and vintage plus scales. Love it!

So not confuse things but, the Eddie Bauer with the locking non serrated blade, small clip point blade, saw, and corkscrew, is an Adventurer?
