picked up this classic at a pawn type store.  it is an advertising piece, but a true Vic, and has ruby scales

best part the price tag on it was $1.00!  I said "I wish it was not an advertising piece", and he said give me 50 cent for it!
I gave him the $1.00 anyway.

If I can help, let me know

That's a steal at $1!  I have a bunch of Classic SD's and still have a hard time turning one down when I see it. Next to the Rambler, they're a favorite of mine  :tu:

Nice !

I was wondering, does someone have a magic technique for removing the text without damaging the scale ?

I'll bet Vic could sell a few of these if they made them.

Yea I never heard of this brand. It is A 91mm frame. The pins line up perfect with a Vic 91mm liner.

Got this yesterday. Cadet without keyring, with a leather Vic pocket sheath. Were these a regular catalog item or a special run?

That knife and sheath are from the 2011 Limited Edition Cadet 5 colors set. They did not have key rings and there were some packaged with or without the sheath.

Just managed to pick up an old Victorinox Gentleman's knife with two blades, scissors, corkscrew, and mother-of-pearl handles.

Since I saw some others had posted their swiss bayonets here, I though I'd share mine with you all as well...

Stgw. 57 bayonets I acquired a while ago... They are so beautiful work.

Now, according to Worldofbayonets website the production of the blades were split 50-50 between Victorinox and Wenger. So the W tang stamp on these would mean they're Wenger made?

I haven't bought any SAKs since June of 2012. I found a Blue Farmer and a Wenger '04 Standard Issue on the same table of a local gunshow. I'm still looking every time I go to the flea mkt or gunshows. Who knows what may turn up?  tom.  :tool:

We deal a lot with one of the hardware stores.  If they have questions about coatings we help them out, and also let them borrow paint to help them complete orders of their own.  Today the owner was in and I was getting him something.  As he was leaving, he turned to me and said, "I just wanted to let you know that you are tons of help and great to work with."  With that, he tossed me a silver box.  Inside was......
