Hi Nomad

Thanks for the link, there are a number of other sites that manufacture these type of clips, but unless you are "in the trade" its hard to convince these people to sell to Joe public.   >:(

If you know of anyone that sells straight to people like us PM me, I would love to find a more direct (and cheaper) option.

Thanks
deano

Hey, thanks!   My wallet is numb already!!!

I haven't had a chance to look at everything here yet, but it looks like you guys do some terrible nasty things to your multis.     I love it!!!

I've looked at a few of the mod threads from JSews so far and there's some impressive stuff there!   Wish I'd have made the SHOT show to meet you guys.

Hi Mickyd,   not to rush things, but I looked at your avitar and dang,   are you spoken for??    You're way better lookin' than I thought!

Thought I'd chime in here and introduce myself as well.  I live in Yorktown, Virginia, now, but I grew up in Jonesville, MI, about half hour west of 665ae.  Also went to J-sews' town of Traverse City several times as a kid, but I never cared for the snow or cold, so I like it much better down south here.  I'm an engineer with the company that builds aircraft carriers and submarines.  I don't know nearly as much about the various multitools as y'all obviously do, but I do like tools (not just multis), hence the name, which I get called occasionally by friends (especially when they need me to fix something!).

I carried a Gerber back when I was in the Navy.  Once I got out, I lost track of it and didn't carry anything for awhile.  I then had a Micra on my keyring for a couple of years and used it often, but lost it.  Then a couple of years ago, I picked up a Wave and have been carrying it ever since.  I couldn't leave the house without it now (don't hardly go around in the house without it).  I made a bit holder to fit the bit adapter and carry a full set of regular 1/4" bits to go along with it as well as a ratchet and extension.

I know that numb wallet feeling as well.  Funny how that Wave has been plenty for me for the past couple of years, but since I've been hanging out here (basically since Christmas), I've suddenly had the need to invest in several more multis (that I'll probably never carry regularly)!  I now have a Crosscut, a PST, a Surge, and a Swisstool on the way, as well as some Micras that I'll probably hand out for gifts, and am on the lookout for a Spirit.  Thanks a lot, guys :)  Seriously, though, thanks for some good info.  I've learned a lot and plan to continue reading and participating whereever I can.  Still getting used to this "mate" thing though ;)

Many of us didn't know much about multitools when we started here either, so don't worry about it!  You'll pick it all up sooner or later!

When I started this site less than two years ago I thought I was the only multitool collector in the world, and figured that with about 25 multis, I probably had more than anyone else!  This site has been a very humbling experience for me, but I wouldn't trade it for anything!
