I got an older G-2 steel Spyderco Harpy off another forum coming for $55 shipped. I recently misplaced my Ladybug Salt Hawkbill, and it's also missing a pivot screw (shoulda used Loctite!). At 3.875" closed (or 3 7/8), it's more in my wheelhouse for size as a primary EDC folder. My complaint--the stainless handle. Both heavier and slicker than FRN. But, a bit tougher; and absolutely necessary with the shackle key. This is also to help bump up my "decent enough size for general EDC" Spyderco category for the upcoming challenge.

Nice spydie Cody, well wear. I've a Pioneer X on the way, likely my first and only alox knife, I'd have a lot more money if it wasn't for MTo . . .

I recently misplaced my Ladybug Salt Hawkbill,
misplaced as in put it down somewhere and it'll show up or as in you'll never see it again ? Either way, hate when that happens !

I'm a big fan of a waxed jacket so one of these had been on my hit list for a long time.  Spotted they had a jacket in my size, in a colour and style I like and at 50% off I couldn't refuse (plus a couple of glasses of wine might have been involved).   Even in the sale it was as much as my favourite Barbour jacket cost me!

Looks great! Get yourself a motorcycle and Robert's your dad's brother!

 :D :D

Never heard about "waxed jackets". Is that leather? If not, it looks as good.

My father has been a rider for years and it still kind of appeals.  However I've never had a hobby that didn't need lots of kit and a big car boot to lug it about so a bike never seemed all that practical.

Cotton impregnated with a wax/paraffin mix.  So think Barbour and Driza-Bone coats if that helps.  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waxed_cotton

Belstaff are stupidly expensive (even at 50% off  :D).  Barbour and Driza-Bone are still pricey but definitely good quality.  You can however get much more budget friendly waxed jackets that still do the job very well.  I've got one by a company called "Game" that I'm perfectly happy to recommend.  They're all very sweaty for summer though. :D  Much better as an autumn jacket when there is a higher chance of wind and rain.

Had to order some more stuff, so I added a couple more inexpensive knives.

Mikov Praktik 115-NH-3 in orange. This is my first full-size Mikov. I figured that at $18, I couldn't go wrong in terms of a working knife. No back tools should make it just a bit more comfortable in use. I'm eventually getting a few more of this series. My only problem is its steel. It is 420SS, hardened to 52-55. Should not chip as much as SAKs, but will not hold an edge as well. And, made in the Czech Republic for the price of a Chinese knife. I seriously don't get how they make so much of their catalog so cheap.

And a Sanremu 7010 in hunting camo with a black blade.  I wanted one of the SRM multitools, which were a bit bigger knives with blade, saw, cutting hook, openers, and a bit driver.   Those don't seem to be available on Amazon anymore. But, for $15, and reading the thread I started 2 years ago before I bought a Ganzo or Sanremu, it should be a good knife that doesn't cost a whole lot.

Funny you should mention the 710; I just gave my old one to a friend just today!  Great knife but I never really used it.  That Mikov looks the business too.  :tu:

Well the Belstaff got a thorough testing today in several hours of heavy rain.  Happy to say it held up very well.  :)

Both good choices Kev.  The Urban is particularly nice, but I found the Squeak blade a bit small.

Thanks, I've got a hennie ukpk on back order to, but no idea when they will be in stock.  Think I'll just stick with the UK legal slippies for now.

The Pingo is nice and if you haven't checked out the Viper Dan 2 it's well worth a look too.

At some point I want to add in a Spyderco Roadie into the UK legal mix...

Oh and those Anso slippies from ZT...

My shirts came in the other day, but the one dark shirt didn’t have a pocket, so the Mrs had to write them and we needed to send them back, but their sending a new set, now the other day the delivery company just left a sicker at our back door, why our back door? So they came again today knocked, and I ran, but by the time I got to the door he already started the truck up and was ready to leave, like dude? So I handed it off, then 30min later we got another knock on the door and the other shirts show up, and this time they both have pockets!

Just ordered a Spyderco UKPK (Drop Point) from HH

https://www.heinnie.com/spyderco-ukpk-frn-drop-point-flat-grind

I had a credit on my account and thought why not?

I can add it to my Manix 2 for Deep in the Spydie Hole in August

Given the legendary service from HH it's probably already here
