Beautiful pics as always John  :o.

So green and sunny :dd:.

Over here everything is grey and dark .

How I miss summer... (until it's 39,6°c again in my bedroom, and I whine about how much I miss those cold winter nights  ::)).

Anyway, thank you for bringing a bit of that summer feeling to us, and thank you for posting your pics in my humble topic, you know by now how much I appreciate that, right?  ;)

If the weather isn't too bad I might go out on a winter hike myself one of these days, it's been way too long...

Greetings from cold and gloomy Belgium .

Eric

Thanks Eric :tu:

It’s actually been pouring down with rain for last few weeks but was very lucky on Monday with a nice sunny warm day, very different to this time last year and tbh a bit of a relief as we’ve been in drought for years so starting to replenish the dams etc

Hope to get back out tomorrow :)

No weather for hiking for now, so I guess I'll just take some indoor pics to pass the time...

There's just something about a glow in the dark Vic Shield...

Not really a public place, but for now it's the best I can do...  :-[

Nice pictures, guys.
Great area, John.
The clock is really a timeless eye-catcher!

Today was the first time since 15!! Days here blue sky and sunshine.
A short walk from our house is the Bäumli park on the Goldenberg, a hill in the middle of the city of winterthur, switzerland.

Beautiful pics as always John  :tu:.

And again, that's a beautiful four-legged friend you have there mate.  We lost our golden retriever Coby 5 years ago (13 years old, and cancer), and we still miss him every day...

Thanks for sharing your pics here my friend  :hatsoff:.

Misses TG-24, our little girl Caitlin and yours truly went for a short relaxing walk today.

Since all the regular hiking spots are still over flooding with people who just discovered nature and hiking, as it seems, we had to get a bit creative to find a reasonable nice place without too many people around.

But enough about that, here are some pics.

And one with just the snenery:

Nice pics Eric. Looks like a quiet, relaxing area. And sunny! These days we have so little sun in the swiss lowlands ...

Thanks guys .

It was good to get some sun and fresh air  :tu:.

First time I used the protective case on the watch, I like both looks, with or without case, and the case does offer extra protection to the watch, and it fits...

Hey Peter,

I know I keep repeating myself, but so do you...

By posting these magnificent pictures here  :2tu:

 ;)

Warning: next spoiler contains stuff that might be a bit depressing, don't say I didn't warn you...

Show content
Every time someone posts such beautiful pics here and shares such great family moments, it brightens up my day (and my days have been pretty dark lately, due to work related problems that mess up my family time as well, because I can't get them out of my head, not even when I'm at home...).

So when I tell you guys that your posts mean a lot to me, it's not just me saying kind things, it's the honest truth.

But enough about that, we also had some snow here, at least between 0.75cm and 1 cm, on the grass, because on concrete it turned into water immediately.

So we spend 30 minutes in our garden with our little girl, by then the snow turned into rain and the fun was over...

Since I can't seem to find the time (or the right mood) to take some pics myself lately,  I might just recycle some of my old pics here one of these days.

Thanks for sharing your beautiful pics my friend,
Greetings from Belgium :hatsoff:.

Eric

Hey Eric

Sad to hear. I renounce "esoteric wisdom" and really wish that you can solve the problems and soon have better times.

Thanks for all the praise, but my pictures are not really good. They are simply pictures from my life. And that's what I like so much about this thread moderated by you so kindly. All of us here share the joy of knives, tools and all kinds of EDC stuff. To see what the daily companions of other members are and what it looks like in their area ... I really like to see that.

The amount of snow here in Winterthur is extreme! 40cm that happens about every 20 years. But half of it has melted again.  :-[

greetings from Switzerland
Peter

Great timing on that last pic Peter  :o.

The famous (and beautiful) Swiss Railways,  great picture my friend  :tu:.

And about your previous pic, well, my first thought was "why do I see the back of Batman's head on the bottom of the pic"...

Edit: just close your eyes for about 90% and stare at that pic :pok:.

Thanks Eric. The timing was on purpose!  ;) :D
This is the beautiful, notorious, and even dreaded Appenzeller Railway (hundreds of unsecured track crossings, mostly in curves and when the flashing and ringing signal goes off you have about 10 seconds to leave the rails, otherwise you can look the train driver in the eyes!)

Yes, really, now I've seen batman too. He also seems to enjoy the morning mood...

And almost every day I dig a car out of the snow and fit snow chains.

Nice pictures, Echotech!  :like:
