Welcome.  I got a second one to see if I could mod it, I cannot.  I'm thinking I should set it free so someone else can have a play

Oh come oon, this could have happened to any other tool, too. It probably landed directly on the tip of the awl.

Bent tip aside, the awl on the Signal could have been better, ST300 > Rebar > Signal.

My modification of Signal. I pasted small permanent magnet into 1/4" Box Wrench. 1/4" hex bits are holding fast in now!  :tu:

How do you mean "better"? Longer or different material?

I would have preferred one like the ST300 awl.
I've even re profiled the ST300 awl to fit in my Charge and Rebar.
The one on the Signal is too rounded, missing the backside edge channel and tapered end.

I think it could with some modification to the frame.  The BE housing that accepts the t shank blade is too wide for the Signals frame.  One would need to cut away material ( Metro&Breezy modified a Wave's frame ) to accommodate it.
