The V feature is for when the knife needs a new edge. Otherwise, the ceramic rod is easy to use and works well for touching up the existing edge. I think the Dual Sharpener is a good way to practice on free hand sharpening, at least as far as SAKs are concerned.  :)

Used to be once upon a time I had a green Mora Companion, next week I'll be ordering the following mostly to test the SA Postal system:
Mora Pro S (Since I have the C)
Mora Companion FF
Mora Companion HD Orange
Maybe:
Mora Robust HQ
Mora Chisel

I'm looking to order 4 knives since that equates to only about 2 bags of groceries, so if the smurfs steal it, it's not the end of the world.
I would like to order some more AHTI's from the same place, so this is a trial run.

Another vote for the DC4  - I've had one for around 12 years - nice and compact, easy to use and comes in a nice leather sheath.

I also use a chefs steel because that's how my dad taught me, and I carry a little ceramic rod I got from our local scrap store. It's super portable and super easy to use.
See pic below for ceramic rod, and just below my Spirit you can see the DC4 sheath;

the reason i think i like the DC4 more then a rod is that it's easier to get the angle right with the moras. the lansky system is even more foolproof, but i think i'll be getting a DC4.

I also must order one of these for my niece -

I've got both the turnbox and the DC4 and while both have their uses I'd say the DC4 is going to be more useful for your Mora knives as the turnbox guides you to too steep an angle IMO.

thats a lot of gear just to test the postal system . . .

That's US$44 worth of knives, the shipping is not free just risky, so you have to balance risk with eventual unit cost.......
