Forgot to mention I used the egift card Case sent me and placed an order.  I'll give you a hint, Tony Bose.  I really like his collaboration with Case and have two already.  While I'd love to pick up another GEC I am not going thru what it takes to pick one up.  Secondary prices, nope.  Happy to have the ones I have so IF I can score one down the road I may bite.

BTW, why was I looking at the #05 Keychain knife?

I'll be sure to post my new knife when I get it.

Unsurprisingly, still have the I.XL on me today.
I can see why. It's a beauty!

Pemberton kit and Case Wharnie Copperhead.
So happy you're enjoying them! I have a guess as to what your new Case will be, but I won't share it here.

Thanks to SteveC, I now own a Camillus 72! :woohoo: After a brief layover on the backdrop, it went right into my pocket.

Love the color on the Copperhead.  Its hard to keep it out my pocket.  Its also nice to have some SS since nearly all my trads are carbon.

I like the Tony Bose ( I said collaborations ) but I think its more inspired by .  My Tribal Lock and Sway back are good examples.  I spent an hour decided then pulled the trigger.  Pretty excited. Thanks Case.

Pulled this old 293 out of the project bin a couple of days ago. Was rusted really bad when I picked it up for $5.00 at the flea market last year. Been carrying it today. Rides very nice in the pocket!

Sadly, I can't think I've ever found a pocket knife at a flea market etc. that was worth buying.  :-\  Blades are ground to non-existence, covers broken or missing, backsprings broken, or a combination of all three.

Etsy has been my stalking ground for my vintage pen-knifes for a while now.

Speaking of which; I.XL still in my pocket today.

It's a roll of the dice. You could find a good one here and there, or a bunch of worn-out junk and gas-station junk. If nothing else, it's an excuse to get out of the house!

That says a lot for that little knife. I always enjoy carrying knives that show a bit of character.

I also have to sort through a heap of junk knives at the flea market. What really sucks is when I break a nail trying to get one open, just to find out the blade is ground away or broken. But I still find enough good'uns to make it worth looking.

I don't have an Etsy account and had never considered it for pocket knives. I glanced at it earlier and was surprised. I will tell my wife that she has you to blame when she notices several purchases from there on our account.

Nice trads, y'awl!

This Colonial DC4602 arrived in today's mail. I'll give it some carry time after it gets a more thorough cleaning.

I was raking through my box of trads and dug out this one.  It's one my father-in-law got as a job lot in auction years ago and give to me (also included my Swedish Barrel knife).  However it's always been a bit grotty and in need of some TLC.  Decided it was past time that happened and so got out my restoration kit and set to work.  Cleaning the "patina" off one of the tangs and I was slightly surprised to find that this is also a "foreign" made knife (a term used on German knives imported into the UK in the first half of the 20th Century).

First pic is pre-clean.  I've now got it in my head that the scales make me think of smoked salmon.  :D
