Uticas, amber bone, a short line 72, and a great set...too much goodness today! :tu:

Today I brought out the F.H.N. Solingen pen. I know Gareth likes this one. :cheers:

LC, is that an Amber Bone large stockman? I’ve ordered one in carbon steel from a local Case dealer and would love to see a few more photos of it opened up.
That’s a 47 pattern Stockman (3 7/8” closed) in LC’s pic.

If you ordered a Large Stockman, it will be a 75 pattern, 4 1/4” closed.

Red is 47, black is 75…

Yea, just a couple quick pics and the lighting wasn’t great…

It is black canvas micarta on the 75; red G-10 on the 47.

Thanks Nate!  I’ve got a bit of a wait until I receive mine from the Case dealer. He said the large Stockman in amber bone and the Trapper in Yellow would be about a month (patiently waited two weeks so far). I also ordered a Trapper in black and green micarta but that one I will be waiting until July to get.  :dunno:
The pictures will help tide me over lol. That black micarta looks great!

Camillus rope knife

4 line tang stamp, but doesn't have a Coast Guard stamp on the other side.

I have been disappointed by some of my knife purchases, but not this time  :woohoo:

Sweet Cammie Adam, four line stamp places it just before or during WW2   :tu:

It looks to be in excellent condition with nice jigged Rosewood handles.   Congrats !    :woohoo:

LC, is that an Amber Bone large stockman? I’ve ordered one in carbon steel from a local Case dealer and would love to see a few more photos of it opened up.

To confirm, the Case Stockman is a standard pattern as I refer it. The pattern number is 6347 SS, a 75 is Large and medium has multiple pattern numbers depending on the blade configurations.
From my novice experience eyeing a Case from a far the big difference is the depth of the Sheepfoot blade.

PS: Saw Nate replied. He is spot on!

Comparing a Queen Sawcut Bone Wharncliff to my Wright Stag Lambfoot.

A 1/4” difference in length and the Queen is a much thinner profile. Both feel good in the hand, but the Wright is much hardier!

"Hardy" is definitely the name to apply to A.Wright knives.

Some fantastic choices today, everyone! :like:

Today I went with the Camillus 72 and the old (maybe over 100 years) Robeson. The Robeson is stamped 222030, which breaks down as follows:

2=walnut or rosewood (but there's a possibility it's cocobolo)
2=number of blades
2=brass liners and bolsters
030=pattern number

The Robeson awlso has some lifting of its mark side cover and liner. I'm thinking of having the pins re-done. What do y'awl think about that?

Klein Stockman

I haven't found out the model number of this knife yet. There was a moderate amount of rust on the backsprings that left some pitting after removal, and a bit on the badge which also caused a little pitting. And like most Klein knives, the quality is okay. But the blades look almost unused, and I am a sucker for Klein products. So I am happy with it.
