Yeah very nice Gadget.  Nice to see different color scales on knives.  I get so tired of black all the time.  :-\

I don't own any pocket folders that are one hand openers, just SAKs and traditional slipjoints. My wife prefers folders that have locking blades so she has a little Spyderco ladybug in her purse and somewhere she keeps this Benchmade Doug Ritter RSK Mk1 Mini Griptilian that I got for her for Valentine's Day 2008.

Yay Mini Grip :)

Nice pics.

All of the Grip and MiniGrip variations are simply awesome knives for what they cost, IMHO.

Benchmade's axis lock is one of the few locking systems that I trust as much as a well made lockback.

Get it you won't regret it. I carry my orange grip almost everyday.  Smoothest opening knife I own.

I believe it was late last year or early this year when I first saw Micah's Benchmade Sentinel and fell in love.  :D  Something about the blue titanium and the black aluminium handles with the spear point blade really spoke to me, so I went on a quest to find one and was really pleased when John (Gadget Guy) said he had found one but it needed a little work on the edge.  Well, after many months I finally got that work done by the very kind Kwakster who had to reprofile the edge and give it a good sharpen and a polish.  His sharpening is amazing and apart from looking unbelieveably shiny  :o, it cuts better than nearly any other knife I have.

I have taken a few pics but I don't think any really show just how good this edge is.  Thank you very much Kwakster (and John again for your help all those months ago) for all your hard work.  :tu:

Woz,

that's a neat looking knife (top).  Has it ever bitten you?  It looks like it would do me in occasionally
when closing it?  :D

How's it working out for you, John?

Good looking knife and looks to be very decent for the money.

Lately  I'm really liking my folders that have flippers.

Easy opening of course, but I also really like the added safety provided by a flipper to prevent injury if the lock should ever fail.  Also should prevent running your fingers onto the edge during a hard stab.

Sure, it bit me nasty 2 days after I got it. That smurf came razorsharp - and I even improved that a little. It is huge and sharp as hell - folding machete ;)

It works for me  ;) I have filed the scales near the liner lock so I can use my thumb to open also  :tu:

And if you look closely I filed the scales where there's jimping now it affords better grip IMO

But yeah the flipper is great if ever I need speed to open it lets hope I never have to  :salute:

Two knife companies that have limited sales/exposure up this way are Gerber and CRKT.  Two manufactures
that I would like to buy more of their cutlery.  Ebay is our friend I guess if you can find a good deal.
I like that knife John posted above.  Someone else posted a knife pic not all that long ago of a new Gerber
coming out but cannot find it on the website.  It had I think a bit of a reverse tanto shape.
