Same here.   :iagree:

Claymores are a bit heavy, my Granny had one and even as kids we could swing it around ok so yeah save weight but i'm not sure anyone would ditch their primary weapon to run that bit faster, let alone all of you and all in the same place, guess we will never know  :twak:

I know that some armies on retreat would dump most of their gear to lighten their loads, but to dump all your swords in the loch ?  hmmmm, i'm sorry but i'm pretty sure if was me my sword would be the last thing i threw away  :dunno:  I think i will call BS on this one, till i learn more  ;)

Day: 28

Opening a packet of batteries to refill a flashlight.  I hate plastic packaging....but the Opinel makes it a bit more fun.

I do like the way the Opinels can lock closed.  :like:

I once got a half-decent slice in a finger when I reached into a pocket to find that my knife had opened up, unbeknownst to me.....

Vintage Fuzz Day 28

These two were on kitchen duty today, some... (look away now Pommy)... serious patina starting to build up!  :2tu:

Oh... and tonight's dinner, not pasta, but cottage pie made with sliced rather than mashed tatties.

After using the Nº 07 to slice up various things in the past couple days, to include lemons, limes, garlic, shallots, and onions, it is starting to show a little patina.

(Image removed from quote.)

The handle is still pretty pristine, but the blade is coming along nicely......  :D

(apologies to pomsbz for the graphic image.)
Yes it is starting a nice patina  :tu:

Yeah, I quite often polish it off, or at least try and take it back a little, but I often regret doing it...

You've got some lovely patina going on there, Fuzz.   :tu:    Don't let those mean boys talk you out of it!

(And who knows what kind of chemicals those nasty metal polishes would get in that fine looking cottage pie?)
