The 512kb limit forced me to resize it. The full size pic looks much better and the text is more readable but I did not want to upload it to imgur without permission.

Awesome  :tu:

Well, it's all natural, don't be shy  :dunno:
Although... that reminds me... I've got next to no comments to my picture where I've used the LM Mini Tool to pull the stitches from my thumb

I wonder why  :pok: :D

Solving problems you didn't know you had in the most obscure way possible

"And now, it's time to hand this over to our tame race axe driver. Some say, he can live in the forest for six months at a time without food, and he knows of a secret tribe of only women where he is their God. All we know is, he's call the Styx!" - TazzieRob

Hello day 6.
Not much MT action today as it was a lazy day. My other EDC gear was very handy though.
The ipod for some classic rock during grocery shopping chores.  Way better than the dreadful Christmas music stores love this time of year.
enough to turn a man to  :drink:

Cheers

Day 5

The Yeoman was used for opening some coffee and peeling an orange.

The Spirit was used to help pop off a broken childproof screw lid on a container of bleach.

The flashlight was used for checking for leaks and locating the shut-off valve under the sink due to a leaking faucet.

That's an impressive set of uses  :ahhh :salute: :tu:

I like cargo pants and shorts too Sos but don’t actually own any :twak:

The shorts I do wear mostly are hiking style so have zipped pockets on the legs that do much the same thing, been very handy for the mask and fold out bag. I’ve got a phone holder that clips onto the waist band or belt for phone and backup battery, rest goes in front pockets pretty much.

I’m left handed too, when I was very young, we’re talking 50 years ago (crikey how did that happen!) :dunno: they made us use fountain pens, always smudged the page as us lefties tend to write sideways and run our hands over the wet ink

Welcome to my world as well. I can't use blackboards/whiteboards/clipboards etc.

At least with a ring-binder you can remove the paper  :tu:

We are the OG pen-pushers  ;)

Today we went hiking to the hills the other side of the river.
We live in a town that borrows its name -Alcala- from an Islamic fortress on those hills.
I´d been wanting to go the ruins with my kids for some time, but I had to wait for my girl to grow old enough- she´s 9 now.

To my EDC in DEC I added a backpack full of water and sandwiches and a FAK- band-aids, hydrocolloid stickers, chlorhexidine antiseptic, saline solution.
The use of my regular EDC was being pretty sad -taking pics with the phone- but on our way back we made a detour that brought us to the entrance of a small system of man-made caves and tunnels in a hill, so in we went to have a look.

Here the PD36R shone -helped by the LD09 my boy was carrying. Who said it was pointless to carry flashlights on a daytime hike? nobody around here, I guess

DAY 6
Today was spent carting a tree around town before Mrs Surge was happy that I'd suffered enough  :twak:

I was then permitted to place said tree in it's stand and present it for decoration (by Mrs Surge, of course  ::) )

The PST helped to tighten the bolts that help keep it upright (same for the tree as well  )

Day 06
I used the Leatherman Sidekick to change the priming bulb on my string trimmer.  It wasn't entirely successful. There was one screw out of six that was too deeply recessed for the driver on the Sidekick and I was forced to use a full size screwdriver.

This is a great follow-up challenge to the Minimalist Challenge.  I'm finding that a small blade is covering most of my daily needs so far.  I like having the one handed opening option of the Spyderco.  It comes in mighty handy when my other hand is full and I need to cut something.  I find that I rarely need a pliers based tool... until I leave it at home

If you compare them, I think the small blade of the Executive is pretty close to 58mm.  It's the blade I use all of the time I carry it anyways . Who knows buddy... maybe Chuck (Lindbergh and Yeager) had it right all along.  I use the tweezers as micro pliers, and everything else is just a smaller version of the regular SAK tools.  I made it 32 years with only a SAK.  This might be the smoke test.  I really think my Dad, another pilot, would have loved the Executive if he had known about it.  Just some random rambling thoughts.

Not much use today other than use the Yeoman combo tool to open a protein shake and the serrated blade on the Spirit to cut some plastic rings.

Fisher used his pliers today, so I thought I’d include a picture of that use as well.
