That's some chicken Surge .... heaven help you if it lays an egg
:like:
It's an import. I was encouraged wanted to buy it for Mrs Surge  :twak: (whilst in Antibes)

I suspect if it did lay an egg we would have to pay Customs duties and VAT  ::)
The Cactus was from M&S  :tu:

Day 23: Murphy's Law. Everything that could go wrong, did go wrong. First, the transmission randomly went out in the Ford Escape which is just five years old and with under 40,000 miles; luckily under warranty. The dealership had to send a guy to come get it on a flat deck.  Then, the Ford Edge, a 2009, which rarely gets driven anymore, had a dead battery and a flat; which is an ongoing problem.   I went with my full-on mechanical work carry.  Got the car running, and found the problem was with the driver's side front tire; which may need looked at by a tire shop. My Granddad once put 100 PSI in those tires once; in a tire rated for 35, which probably really made a mess.  The Klein 11-in-1 beats any MT with a bit driver. I have most of the slotted, Torx, and Phillips sizes on-board that I need; and I swapped the square drive bit for a Schrader valve tool (thread reamer and Schrader bit) sold as a replacement for a different model made for HVAC use. It was my second Klein Tools purchase (first was strippers). Since I can find Klein on the pegs of thos stores, and not have to special order most stuff, it's became my standard brand. I have some that were Granddad's as well.  I swore off Lowe's this past year, and in my drive to focusing on smaller stores; our electrical supply house (an Eastern and Midwestern US chain) and building supply stores (a century-old independent retailer associated with Ace Hardware) have some sweet tool selections; MUCH better than the low-end stuff my Lowe's carries.   And better products on light bulbs and hardware.

I did some cutting with the PE blade, but the tools actually used were my tire pressure gauge (about a half-dozen times!) and the Klein 11-in-1's Schrader bit.

Sorry to hear about your woes; good thing your Escape is still under warranty. I don't find it surprising that a dedicated screwdriver with replaceable (full size) bits beats any MT with a bit driver. What I did found surprising, after getting a Cybertool, was just how far you can get with nothing but a MT with replaceable (micro) bits ;)

No uses today (of note anyway  ) So, here's a gratuitous shot of the OHT, with the Cactus Chicken  :D
Very photogenic corner!

Day 16. Had to switch back to steak for date night. Was a super busy and hot day. Outrider was busy today for all little chores. Even trimmed some bushes.

Thanks vicman for all the comments. Keep it up
Can't beat a good steak!

Wow 100psi in a 35psi rated tire?  I am surprised it didn't blow up.  Talking about blown and flat tire, I once witness a huge truck blown its tire in a tunnel, the air pressure was so high and exploded so abruptly that I could felt my ear drums popped big time, even I was driving in my own car 20 feet away with all the windows closed.  Can't imagine how it would feel if I was right next to the tire when it blowed, it probably would pierce the ear drum.

Outrider was instrumental in helping to make my first Texan Chili attempt, the scissors, can opener and blade all got used in the process.  Right now the chili is simmering for 2 hours in the oven, and am really, really looking forward to it.  Smell freaking amazing.
