I wondered about that.  I examined the young lady in the photo in the other link very closely and did not see a Delemont SAK anywhere.  I checked twice!

Day 26: I very rarely buy stuff from Target, and since I don't, I had a $15 off $30 coupon, which also last week also coincided with a 20% off any toy item coupon.  My argument against it was that it was too big and it was sort of too expensive. That had worn down in a year to "I have the discounts to get it cheap, and it's only slightly too big for my photo area".

The Super Service Center was originally issued in 1982 as the Convoy Truck Stop playset.   Last year, it was reissued as a Target exclusive. I had a much smaller service center playset growing up, and seeing how Matchbox's design team has been using it as a backdrop, decided to buy the set as a display piece. I had a Tomica one several years back, but the pumps and such were scaled much too large for 1/64 scale, as they were designed to work with small LEGO Minifigure-size characters Tomica sells. I got rid of that one a few years later.  I was able to get this one for more than half off after those two discounts, so I decided to go ahead and buy it after thinking about it a year.  Also bought a random 5-pack which turned out to be the quite recent MBX Rally II pack. I plan to be buying some necessities pretty soon, and will be adding 5-packs to those orders. I plan to probably end up giving most to Toys for Tots. I am hoping I can find the MBX Rescue (Boone County, MO) 5-pack. I no longer go to Walmart, and it's the only local store that carries most of the Matchbox range. Dollar General (and only select stores; as some carry no MBX) carry just the basic cars.

However, a number of changes have been made, presumably due to the fact that this is not the original mold/tool. The four-post lift on the roof instead of the style used at the tire shop is one of them, and it's a problem. It will not stay up straight.

Day 26

Opened a package of suspension clips with the Evo 10. I gifted a huntsman to a friend and wanted to include a clip and mini screwdriver.

Day 26

Greetings from Warsaw.

Bonus shots of a bottle opening multitool supplied in the room. A pity I can't take it home. :D

Nice pics y’awl!

Day 26

Used the Evo23 to open the new Alpkit catalogue/magazine after a walk out along the Basingstoke canal where I spotted a pair of kingfishers - not seen a pair for many a year! Apologies for the rubbish quality of the pic but I only had an iPhone on me and the 50megapixel 600mm f4 Victorinox has yet to be made!

Day 26

M61 ‘72 on holiday in Cornwall.   Tintagel.

Nice to see photos of people travelling again!

Rizio I have a big pond at my place, I hear (and sometimes see) them every day in summer late afternoon/evening if I’m out on the deck having a beer and/or cigar. It’s pretty cool to watch them dive into the water and come out with a fish in their beak

Day 27
October 27

I needed a SIM card punch for an iPhone to insert a new data sim.  I don’t have the Vic mini driver set with a SIM punch so the best (read: cheapest) option was a paperclip.  The paperclip had a rubber coating that needed to go.  I’m used to the “cutting the insulation with a blade, then pulling with pliers” method of wire-stripping.  It was a clean cut, right?

Day 26

Like Tet, I used the EvoGrip to remove some wall plates this afternoon:

Ahhh,  but unlike me I know you know what you’re doing!  It only took me about 10 minutes today standing staring at the electrical box section at Lowe’s to pick out the box extenders today
Pretty sure I got the right ones, I’ve dry-fitted them and  :tu:

Day 26

Cut my nails and filed them down with my Evolution S17.  The scissors and nail file does a fine job, like all the other tools on this most capable tool companion.

Day 25
While at Lowe’s picking out box extenders, I picked up some hooks for my new slat wall. I thought they were “one-size-fits-all”, but the ones I bought have a little protrusion that keeps them from working

Another opportunity to annoy a cat with a multitool.

My daughters cat,,, Katana.
Funny cat photos!  :like:  Hopefully one of mine will cooperate for day 30, but till then...

Day 26

Tested out the corkscrew as a marlinspike again. It actually works really well. Hopefully the paracord is salvageable.
USN 2000-2006

Culling of the knife and multi herds in progress...

If I pay five figures for something, it better have wings or a foundation!

DAY 27  Getting down to the wire and I finally had an awl use today.  My wife noticed the blade in a butter knife was loose.  She would have tossed it, but I'm working with a group of kids on reuse, repair, repurpose instead of throwing things out and thought I could use it as an example.  Pulled the blade out, used the awl to get the dried adhesive out of the handle, filled it with Gorilla Glue, and mission accomplished.  8)

Very worthy cause Fireman.  :salute:  A repair and reuse attitude can be a great benefit.  :)
