Day 25

Let's look at the T2's straight driver/prybar/package opener.

I love that tool... very useful!

I agree. I like it when a tool that has multiple functions is truly multifunctional.

The Surprise Box arrived from Farmer X and I used the small blade to open it.  The next Surprise Box will go out to whoever PMs me their details first (U.S. members).

Day 25

Posting a little early today...  today, my typical start of the weekend is walking in the garage and finding a pile of trash my wife tossed through the door.  :o

First step, throw away the plastic.  I use my knife to slash bubble wrap so it takes up less room.  Down to just boxes...

And then, of course, I use my blade to break down boxes...

Day 25: I was waiting for the battery in my truck to charge so I could start it, I tested the saw on the Red Ryder Camp Knife. Hard to believe I've owned this knife since 2015, and never even tried the saw.

Looks poor, but works. But that's as good as I can say. It's slow, but at least it cuts.

A little later than usual posting, but few of my friends just started playing Diablo 2 on Switch last night and it brought back good memories...I remember first time I played this, internet was a new new thing.

The Mini TT helped with opening and couple packages and a SAK scale swap.

The Smokey scales are now on a Trail Guide and Rogue, instead of Tinker and Classic

Day 26

Little guy's homework this week to use household material to make an impromptu picture frame.  We decided to use straws to make a photo frame, and I switched back to Mikov Stovka for the use, since it has a scissors handy.  Overall, I am really happy with this scissors, and I felt it is 95% identical to a real Victorinox scissors.

How was it?  Looks perfect for GSMRE challenge!

Day 25

Let's look at the T2's straight driver/prybar/package opener.

The driver (listed as a medium screwdriver by Leatherman) is perfectly adequate for tightening and loosening slotted screws:
(Image removed from quote.)

The tool functions well as a small prybar. I was able to prise up this Romex staple that had been driven nearly flush with the plywood:
(Image removed from quote.)

On the side of the tool is a chisel cut edge that Leatherman lists as a package opener. I didn't have any clamshell packaging on hand to test it out, but it did open up this new box of washers:
(Image removed from quote.)
Good uses!  I really love having a mini 'prybar' on a MT or a SAK/SAK-alike, I won't know how useful that could be at times until I miss it.

Day 24

One of the things I like about this knife is that I can pinch open the main blade, saving a bit of wear & tear on my fingernails…
I often wonder why we don't see more pinchable blade like this, I personally like something that's slightly 'stout' but still pinchable by fingers(like a firm 6 or light 7)

Sometimes it is kinda curious why the makers would chauffer out all the edges, doesn't that drive up the cost if the whole point is to make profit?

I understand.  I am a sucker for several things.  Smokey the Bear tends to be one as well as colorful and unique SAK scales.

Straws are good.  I remember seeing elbow macaroni ones.
I would love a nail file/cleaner as a back tool on SAKs

Day 26:

Yesterday, my truck wouldn't start (hadn't been started in about a month or so). I tried to jump it using the charger, but that didn't work. I noticed that it appeared it was getting more than the 12V.  I had a friend of mine look at it, and he discovered that the charger I was using had malfunctioned, and was putting out 110V AC instead of 12V DC. It fried the light inside the hood, so that's going to need to be replaced. Also learned that when Advance Auto Parts put the terminals on when the battery was replaced a couple years back, that they'd overtightened them, which stretched the lead and they came loose. Those too are going to be replaced.

At least I don't have to get it inspected until the end of the month.

I used the ASP's Phillips to set the clock. Compared to modern vehicles, I don't have to do much to set it. Just push one button for an hour, one button for a minute. No dealing with 2-3 menus.

I watched TV in my PJs all day  :o so I didn't technically carry my SAK-alike today.  Here's a shot of my Armbar next to my Curl that's sitting on my toolbox in my garage.  It won't tempt me over there...  hey buddy, we miss you. 🥰
