Dinner time!

Only a Cup Noodles. All meals were very filling. More than enough for my son in fact. At the end of the day, some food was left by us.

All day was very funny. We spent a lot of time together. A good quality time.

Thanks for all. Thanks for the challenge, thanks for the words.

So nice to see you two enjoying your MRE snacks together. :salute:

Have you ever noticed that quarantine sounds like Quentin Tarantino if you say his name too fast?

We had a time away from each other. After completed the time and everyone tested, twice, we are reunited again.

Great pics.  Sounds like this challenge was the perfect post-quarantine event and fitting that it would finish on what is Father’s Day in the US.  So Happy Father’s Day.

The remainder of mine was relocated to the hurricane supply cabinet, where hopefully remains uneaten until it is rotated out and replaced next year.  The condiment pouch was moved to my travel bag where it originally came from.

Thank you very much Sos!

Yes! The challenge was really perfect!
My son enjoyed a lot the experience, asking many questions and wondering about survival scenarios.

I spent the sunday together with my kids.
Watching Star Wars with the boy, listening music and dancing with the girl!
It's not fathers day in my country, but I enjoyed every minute as like it was!

I'll have a good look next time I'm at a gas station but as far as I'm aware they mostly just have junk food and a few overpriced grocery items in these parts.

I was thinking of using these red curry and coconut milk sachets which I have used before when hiking and combining them with the rice which I haven't tried yet. The problem is in the past I have taken fresh vegetables to have with them (for a first night meal); GSMRE choices for vegetables are somewhat limited: without turning to whole dehydrated meals my choices are potato or kumara (sweet potato) mash, dried peas or onion flakes. It could also do with more protein (at home I would usually have tofu with red curry).
Also, some cooking would be required, therefore this meal would not fit the description of "ready to eat".

I shall keep looking...

I've popped in a few times to see what y'all have been up to.  This was such a creative challenge.  Well done by all and so much learned.

I have always been a fan of tuna so whether its in a pouch or tin I'm in.  I can pretty much eat most food cold or fridge temp so heating is not always needed for me.  As for a little stove to heat or boil water, I love the options of scrap wood for Sos's firebox stove.  I looked at that stove but never pulled the trigger.  I have a Trangia which gets fed Coleman white gas ( got it on sale ) and Heet yellow ( got on clearance ).

So many interesting approaches to this from all you daring peeps.  I'm going to go thru this thread as its worth it.

Well done all and congrats to those who made it to the finish.   :hatsoff:

As I recall I felt a great disturbance in the force about 7 hours after completing the challenge, but I felt much better later.
