Had to refill the cat food containers today.  Now normally I just open these bags by hand but my Spartan was itching to do something...

Day 21

Another easy day. I did trim down a skewer while we were at karaoke tonight, but the waiter grabbed my plate (with it on it) before I could take a picture. Have a pocket dump.

Day 14;

DAY 14  How appropriate the last day of summer school falls on Bastille Day.  My last day in the no knife zone!  No SAK, no usage.   :(  So I took a Spartan group shot.   Spartans tend to get thrown in on deals, and have industrial advertising (which I like), so I've  got a lot of them.

(Image removed from quote.)

Nice group! I have more of a range of ads on my Tourists, strangely. Actually, all of them have advertising, except for one I put nylon scales on, and the SwissAir scales on that one live on swapped with the Ecoline Sportsman I stole the nylon scales from.

Day 15:

This is my side of the trade I did with Dan, mainly for a Leatherman Rev, which I've been wanting to try as a light-duty EDC, and I think it will do well in that application.

The three Matchbox cars were thrown in as a bonus. The Opel Diplomat and Dodge Kew Stakebed are from the '60s, while the Austin Healey is from 2019. The Opel and Dodge are in excellent condition, especially for being north of 50. Thanks Dan!

Thanks!  My Tourist collection is quite limited (only 1) but it does have a German company logo on it.   :tu:

I had the Opel and the Dodge stake truck!  They did not look that good after years of play.

Food and toys play a major role in our daily lives.  Seems like we are doing something right.

I was into Corgi cars when I was a laddy, and still have many of them.

Mine were mostly Matchbox and Hot Wheels.  A local store had a revolving display of Matchbox, and with a fifty cent piece earned doing chores, a new one could be mine!   :tu:  I still have some of them, too.

Day 15

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

Again??? How does this keep happening???

I know! This time, I'll open this small package with the main blade of my Tourist!

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

Oh look - it's another Tourist!

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

This one is older - grooved corkscrew, no sewing eye in the awl, etc. Though I've read that it's a little more challenging to date the 84mm knives with some of those tool variations, that they were used longer/later in the 84mm models so you can't necessarily go by the known dates of tool changes in the 91mm range. Does anyone know anything about that or how to date 84mm SAKs?

Day 15.

I'd purchased this Greenlight 2010 Crown Vic Police Interceptor for Blount County, TN recently and I knew it had an opening hood, but it was stuck due to paint. The straight pin and toothpick got it open.

Not counting the ton of state police units GL has done for my state and adjoining states; this unit and the Glen ALpine, NC Bronco represent departments that are closest to me.

Day 22

The Prime Day loot started coming in, so the Spartan was on package duty today. Pictured: opening some sleep masks. We have skylights in our apartment. They're lovely about 90% of the time, but not when I want to sleep in. Not pictured: Tape gunk on the can opener.   :ahhh

You're welcome, Cody! Glad you enjoy them.

Day 15

No use today, so a photo of the Spartan sitting on a can of water will have to do.
