Day 08The package arrived with the Duluth Fire Hose Flex pants. I love these things. More pockets than even this challenge requires. I opened the package with the Wissahickon Critter.
Thanks! Unfortunately, I realized after I tied it that I'd chosen smurfty polyester paracord...Don't feel too bad. Many of mine are the same way, and I can't sharpen worth a pinch of...well, you know.Great photos from awl, as usual! Day 8No changes to the loadout. The Tinker got used to open a package. Day 8I finally had a reason to use one of SAKs. I needed scissors to trim some labels:(Image removed from quote.)
Day 8A few changes. The pouch with MT, flashlight, 84mm SAK, lighter and sanitary items stayed the same. The folding knife was changed to a Shirogorov and the 91mm SAK is a mountaineer. For the fixi, I changed to a mini breacher, which does have a blade just not a sharp one. With all the other various blades and being in an urban environment, the breacher bar has the potential to be more useful and less threatening than a standard fixed blade. The bandana was actually two today one of which was used post gun range with some water and a soap sheet to wash off.(Image removed from quote.)
Looking forward to more detail review...the material sounds really durable, but how heavy is it?
Day 9In case you were still wondering - Within a minute of starting work, she cut through the BRIGHT RED power cable...!!
Day 9Another day working from home. I hardly ever get out on site much, at the minute. The girls and I have our day off tomorrow though, so it might be a bit more interesting and EDC-ish....Meanwhile - This is a hedge trimmer. You might notice something unusual about it. The fact that my wife was involved with it and that, at this point, it was sat on my workbench with a soldering iron out may clue you in to what the situation was.... Annoyingly, the SwissChamp is actually right behind the darn hedge trimmer, as I was so busy getting a pic for all our friends to laugh at before my next Teams meeting started, I didn't take the time to set up a better shot for the forum. This was most annoying, as the Swiss Champ served double duty in the fairly rare roles of cable trimmer and wire stripper. !! Day 9The a couple changes in today’s carry. The Yeoman replaced the Mountaineer and I replaced the R20 Shiro with the Lefty. One use was cutting some paracord because I decided to change the Breacher bar wrap to a more subdued wrap.(Image removed from quote.)
I once had a service call involving an exterior outlet that supposedly had no power. The customer had plugged their hedge trimmer into the outlet and it did not work. During my investigation, I plugged a tester into the outlet and confirmed there was power available. Then I looked over the extension cord that the hedge trimmer was plugged into. The line conductor had been cut into, most likely by the trimmer
Day 9A new bandana, knife, and marble rotated in today. The red Alox Bantam awlso rotated out, and the older economy Bantam rotated in. Some sharpness testing on the economy Bantam was in order. That's another one that I was comparing to when I got this one. What I love about them are the options for different length and material, and best part of it, no loose bearing balls(which for whatever reason, most counterparts offered by other makers use that)

My wallet's streak of no has gone quite well, but it feels like an inevitability
That combo sheath is awesome! How are you liking the Frog? Did you get the 10440 tube with it?
Day 09I enjoyed a smoke earlier this evening which required the use of my Zippo and the Medico smoker's knife. No changes in my carry today. I'm not having any difficulty with the carry so far but it isn't too different than my regular EDC. Maybe one extra pocket being used and one extra hole in the belt to keep it all above the waist and legal. Best adaptation so far was connecting the 2 smaller SAKs together on a key ring and adding the long fob to make pulling them out of my pocket easier.
