Hello again.
This is my day 10 pic.
The daughter brought me present from the UK as a belated Christmas gift. Like most teenagers the contents of the suitcase are still in her floordrobe . She does not believe in wardrobes.
A teenage daughter's bedroom is a good place to stay out of.
Anyway there was a wee bit of package opening.

Day 10: This is the kydex sheath I carry mine in.  It's secure, lightweight and rugged.

Used the wood saw to open a box.  Not the best tool for the job, but wanted to use another tool.

Hello Awl
It seems as if my usual dopey manner I have lost day and am 1 day  behind.
This is my day 9 pic . My favourite use for any MT although to be honest the LM openers are not the best.

I can't say it enough... I love that coyote tan.  Unlike most of my pics of that color, I think your pic captures the true color of it.  :tu:  :like:

Day 10

A new addition to my collection arrived yesterday, and I used my OHT to open the package.  I didn't get an action pic, so this will have to do.  It's also evidence of why this forum is bad for my collection addiction... just one comment can trigger me to buy something new.  In the thread discussing how the ARC affected EDCs, David wrote this:

The Buck Vantage Pro was my "perfect" knife for a long time, simply did not see a knife being more comfortable, better blade shape, steel etc.

Well, damn!  I love Bucks, so how can I resist an endorsement like that!!??   :ahhh

That's my problem with it too Surge.  I carry mine in a kydex sheath and I have to keep an eye on that latch to make sure it's still locked.  The IHT is a great tool, but that's one thing that could have been upgraded I think.

What if you go from here...

to here... ?

It is an open and flexible sheet of metal there.
It seems to hold position better then.

I have never pinched a whole into a cap with a LM opener.
I think you may be putting pressure onto the tip of the opener instead of lifting the back upwards?

BUT, it looks cool  :like:

Day 10
Preparing supper,  wanted to braise a couple pork tenderloin, and need more oil for pan, new bottle in the cupboard, so the pliers grasped the tap and easily removed as my big fingers could slip inside the ring.
[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

Then   I recalled there is larger bottle on the pantry shelf to use and refill the cupboard friendly bottle
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

No sir not at all, and they're definitely secure.  My only complaint is that the sheath tends to stick out a bit on my belt.
I try to wear it further back to counter that a little.
Do those kydex thingies not scratch up 'ya tool ?

Plier head lock up. On my OHT appears slightly different!?

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]
The pivot hole for the lock.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]
The lock in unlocked position.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]
The lock moves counter clock wise to the flat edge of the hole.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]
The lock in the lock position.  The slide should move extending the head .
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!
