It looks like there is a deeper reflector within the headlight, which I think is a pretty desirable feature, especially when hiking in open wilderness.

i passed out early last night after a long day at the beach with my wife so posting this now.

used the DT8 to check something on the water heater. the E21a emitters in 2000K are really easy on the peepers and the throwy optics cast a nice wide beam.




i like to run the green auxiliary lights on this one they are super bright and work well as a nice low moonlight mode that runs constantly. Making the light easy to find in the dark.

This is probably a lesser known name, but with quite interesting feature that worth exploring--Lumzoo SP11 03 AAA light.  This light has some of the more aggresive knurling I would only find in older SF flashlight bodies.  And the most interesting thing is it operates exactly like a Maglite Solitaire AAA, it turns on only when you loosen the head.  The beefy body does also make it more hefty in hand.  I'd imagine if SF, Maglite and Fraz Lab all comes together and have a AAA baby, this probably what it may look like.  A robust AAA twisty light, only turns on by loosening the head.

Had to run some errands, and the Acbeam Rider was with me.  This isn’t just a mice flashlight, but a nice fidget toy as well.  The one position can work like a button lockout and to enable the light to tailstand.

Good eye Farmer X.  It's a 64.  I don't get as much time to work on it as I'd like.  I'm going to try and do the brakes and get it running this year.

Before Prometheis acquired the 4sevens brand, it was one of my favorite flashlight makers.  I think they were one of the few makers that would offer good valued twisty light, using oridinary AA or AAA, while utilizing some of the latest led at the time.

Before Prometheis acquired the 4sevens brand, it was one of my favorite flashlight makers.  I think they were one of the few makers that would offer good valued twisty light, using oridinary AA or AAA, while utilizing some of the latest led at the time. 

IIRC this toxic green Preon was either from the pre-acqusition or just shortly after, so it does retain some of the OG 47's design elements.
Nice.  I discovered 47 shortly before it was acquired.  I wish I had discovered sooner

Day 30

I'll end this with the Coast HP1. I got two of this a decade ago when it was a best seller. 180 lens or so, just on and off, tailstands, and has a sliding head for beam focus. I'd like a reversible clip. I also drilled a lanyard hole on the cap. I also made a red filter for it.
It's a good flashlight. Good size, still works just fine. It was only $10 US, so a very good value for money. :cheers:

I enjoyed watching what other people carry. There are so many brands I had never ever heard of. All sorts of modes, sizes and colours. I am excited to see what new kodels look like. I am thinking of a flat flashlight, or one with a pivoting head. We'll see.
