Day 20 (forgot to post :oops:)

EVO 10 a 2 layer was my carry throughout the day.  I like the tool set.  The tooth pick has been coming in handy, only 2 more weeks till a new crown is to be mount. (No picture)

On the patio watching a storm organizing to the WNW, HS football already delayed an hour due to lightning.

My belt required a new hole in the belt, the EVO 14’s awl handle the task.

@ReamerPunch: I have a feeling I should know the answer to this question, but...what flashlight is that?

@AzteCypher: nice Handyman, and hope you got something good in the mail! (Mine was political propaganda and stuff for previous residents.)

@Humayd A R Mahomedy: I never figured a Bic flint would work in a  Zippo!

@IMR4198: Perhaps they finally figured out how to deliver the mail properly?

@z1913: :like:

@Antti Lammi: happy birthday! :drink:

@LoopCutter: did you get any rain? One of the local TV meteorologists opined this morning that we are badly lacking, but I don't miss it.

Another great day, y'awl! :2tu:

Day 21

I may be taking a page out of ReamerPunch's playbook here. This is possibly a peace offering from Hormel, trying to make amends for cruelly taking teriyaki Spam away from us.

Love your stories Gary.  Always give me a giggle.

Happy Birthday Lammi!  You're finally an adult now!  Or so I'm told.... still working on the adult part myself as I get closer to 50.  Really liking that translucent green though.

I end up going to an Asian market every now and then to get my teriyaki spam fix but I don't always find it.

Day 21

Too busy with the kids' soccer games and hanging out with friends and family so no use for this awesome SwissBuck Remedy today.

May the best of your past, be the worst of your future.

   Nice one, Montana.  Since you joined in, even if it was 22 days late, I felt that you should get an award anyway.  So, I made a special badge for you.  Congratulations and so on and so forth.  Best wishes.  G

Day 22

Another outdoor shot with Wenger Handyman.  Yes, the busted up one.  I got out my leaf rake yestiddy and used it to clean up some of the clippings.  I wondered if I could still figure out how to use it, and unfortunately, I remembered without any trouble.  It seemed to be up to snuff and didn't need any maintenance.  Maybe I could leave it outside somewhere and somebody could like 'borrow' it.  Then I would have an excuse in a couple of weeks to not rake any.  That could work, right?  Wait a minute.  I just remembered I have a back up rake.  One is none.  Two is ....?  Smurf.  G

@LoopCutter: did you get any rain? One of the local TV meteorologists opined this morning that we are badly lacking, but I don't miss it.

Friday night a brief shower, that little to improve the dry conditions. Mostly lightning and thunder that delayed local HS football an hour.

A friends neighbors hey field burned, from a fire pit ember 2 miles away.  Also lost his stacked large bails waiting move to storage and about 1/4 of his barn stored rolls.  Fire burning on one, and unloading at the other.

My friend indicated the area of the burn piles held temps at 120 degrees or higher while they cleaned it up.

Started burning afternoon of the  9/12 Tuesday, burned the remainder of week (smoldered) then most of last week smothering with truck loads of dirt. Then loaded and moved contaminated mix to landfill for processing.  A real mess.

Need rain bad.
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

A farmer can't catch a break.  I have been sweating blood for weeks.  Last week some moron started burning brush.  Finally got one good soaking rain, so the pressure is off for now.  If it dries out again, brain dead people will start burning piles of leaves in a couple of weeks.  Might as well post some kind of photo.  Best wishes.  G

Nice choice! And yeah, the RangerGrip series just feel so good in the hand. Makes me sad that they’re (barely) not legal for concealed carry where I live.

Not bad, but a few things I'd change. Discontinued. Got it for 70% off, so definitely a good deal.

@AzteCypher:  :like:

@Echotech: you had to know this was coming... :like: :drool:

@ReamerPunch: looks like a good opportunity to test out a Wenger saw! :tu:

@MTSAK: glad you finally found it. I'll awlmost certainly be hosting this challenge again next September!

@IMR4198: I'm sure I'll remember how to use a snow shovel. And if I don't move before the first snowfall of this coming winter, my shovel will need maintenance.

@LoopCutter: hope you got some rain today (we did).

@Humayd A R Mahomedy: if you wind up in the rabbit hole and find any Zippos that you like, but the seller won't ship to you, let me know! :cheers:

@Antti Lammi: the more I see those big beasts, the more I want one. I may have to buy one as soon as I get paid!

@z1913:  :like:

@BPRoberts: I usually use a serrated blade on zip ties. I don't know why that is. How's the Wenger Stack working out thus far?

Another great day, y'awl! :2tu:

Day 22

I was debating whether to take soda or water with those little flavor mixes to work. Water won out, as it's more cost-effective.

Beautiful outdoor pictures y'awl.

Day 22

It was pretty darn toasty out here today so I had to wait till later in the day to use my Tradesman to open up this Rockauto package filled with sparkplugs, boots, and coils for our SUV.  Finally got the install done but it was still warm even in the late evening.

Day 23

  First it was the plague of ladybugs.  These things are cute if there are only a few now and then.  When you can't step outside without one going down the back of your shirt or they climb the walls of your house it's another thing.  Someone said it was the result of an agricultural thing.  Introducing the predatory ladybird beetles to get rid of something else, blah, blah, blah.  I don't know.  I don't really care.  They are mostly gone now.
  Enter the new plague.  The marmorated brown stink bug.  I don't clearly remember how many years of this judgement there has been.  Maybe ten.  Some locations here hardly see any.  Other places you can't go outside with your mouth open.  These things are big and like to get in your house for the winter.  Individuals are airborne and not just infantry.  And are chemical weapon capable.  I once sat on my front porch and wacked them with a fly swatter.  WACK!  Bug falls on the porch.  Foul smell.  I whacked them and kept a running total on the body count.  I lost interest in the carnage after I had an even hundred down and went inside to watch TV or something.  About an hour later maybe, I went outside with a broom to remove the casualties and found..... all the 'dead' stinkers had left and there were reinforcements.  One big spiteful SPAT with a swatter only stuns the little armored things.  They lay on their backs and play dead, then eventually roll over and continue with their activities.  Unlike the ladybugs, these things ruin crops.
   Yesterday was a bad stink bug day.  I caught many of them inside the IMR villa and tossed them outside.  As many as a dozen or so crawled around on my front screen door at any one time.  Why not take a photo with a Wenger?  Best wishes.  G

@FX

It's fine. I'd like to carry it for a challenge at some point. There have been a few times where the width has made it awkward to turn a screw in a cramped space or something. I don't think (aside from novelty) there's any reason to take it over a Swisschamp, but it's a capable tool and my friends enjoy laughing at it when I use it.

Day 18

Maxlvledc has posted a great video explaining things for the Flex, as well as tips. With no modification at all, you can get two long tools in one side. So I put the saw next to my blade. :salute:

Yeah, no. The saw teeth are offset and they grind against the blade a little. So don't do it.
