Actually, it is easy to just “quote the selected post” from the 3 ydot grouping on the right corner, then delete the unwanted text.   You can also modify your posts as well if you want to correct or add information.

But, you are very welcome

I am so envious of you folk down under, as you get to set the tone for the day so much earlier than us Yanks.  :drink:
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Day 1
Starting of with my prettiest Cadet; I just love blue Alox. Used the blade to slice a blueberry muffin.

Day 1

My first CADET was found in a pawn shop, actually two CADETs.  A Silver and a Black. the black was gifted to a son in law on his birthday.  I suspect it is tucked in his dresser drawer or he lost it as it has not been handy when discreetly asked to cut something🤪

Fast forward to today..,

Other than the ‘tween challenge, when it was freed from the package, I am pretty certain this will be the first time it will actually be used, I just have a hard time deciding every morning what to carry🤔
(To many choices, is that a real thing?)

No sir.
That's definitely not a real thing. My first Cadet came from a knife show.  Remember them?
I knew exactly where it would go so that I'd always have it available whenever I had my phone case with me.

Day 1

I'll start with a glamour shot of the inductees...

Very nice collection. I used to have one like the sand / golden one in the centre of your grouping but I lost it. More accurately I gave it to my wife and she lost it. May turn up at the bottom of a handbag some day, probably after I’m dead.

Now I’m down to just two Cadets, both will be seen in the challenge.

Time to hit the hay, and I didn’t get around to this earlier, so here’s a quick shot from the bedside table.

:like:  I've seen a pic of a lime green one that I'd never seen before.  I'm wondering if it's an overseas special edition.

Sticking with the green alox, a smooth green alox cadet had been on my want list, when this came along snapped it up

Interesting    ???  Could well be

Before I hit the link I’d remembered a Swiss Bianco lime green:

https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/brand-swiss-bianco-swiss-army-knife-1879197640

BUT red badge not green like your example  :dunno:

Ten+ ago they were releasing lots of limited runs, I’ve seen collections online (probably here  :D ) with 50+ colours. Cadets were an EDC classic in the noughties, not sure they are as much today

Day 2

A regular chore is to cut the empty milk container in half, to nest the pieces inside each other. This way it takes up way less space in the kitchen bin.

Thank you kindly fullbrekkie! My golden Cadet is still unused, but will have to pull its weight this month.

Honorable profession!

Both sons are professional firefighters, just about twenty years in service.
Oldest a CAPTAIN, has his own station, sights on BATTALION CHIEF.
Other a Fire/Medic, was full PARAMEDIC first, now part time paramedic when off duty, as trainer and dispatch coordinator. They typically work 24 hour on/ 48 hour off Fire duty.
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Day 2

My CADET made appearance in MONDAY BONDay thread, a project of mine.
[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

Earlier, I had fitted a lanyard line to allow me better access removing from a pocket slip.
[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

The slip is necessary for me, otherwise I would never find in my pocket, as my digit’s sensitivity is much reduced these days.
[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

I do like carrying a 84mm or 85mm most days, full function with minimal size. 😉
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Day 2
In honor of what I hope will be our final snowfall of the season I got out my Winter Magic Cadet. When they were released I bought two so I could carry one, but I'm still a little nervous about anything more than very light use. I also realized that I unintentionally lied in my first post yesterday when I said my blue cadet was my prettiest one. I haven't seen any other SAK that comes close to this one.

I like to get the plastic bit out of these bottles and rinse them before they go in the recycling. Probably needless, but the can opener works well for levering them out.
