Nice carries guys!

Since my light carry doesn't incorporate a larger SAK, I don't have a great handle for my t-shank blades/file. I remembered that I had a Vic bottle opener in a tin, so I ground it to fit a standard quarter inch driver. I need to tweak it a bit but now I can use my t-shank adapter and LM bit adapter as a handle. I need to print a new version of the t-shank adapter to test with this setup as it requires a ring to hold onto so it doesn't slide out when pulling.

@Pilot That comment about just a SAK and paperclip is pretty interesting as I've noticed over time that not only does my EDC change, so does my experience which affects what can be done with what I have on me.

Great carries and pics people!

Skinth on my hip. Switched the Micra out for Squirt. Used the B2 for food prep and Squirt to cut some cardboard. Led Lenser eventually drained the battery last night so had to change a new one in. Liking this setup right now as everything is sitting in the Skinth so that I can get the right tool out even in the dark. That small lanyard on Squirt really helps to get it out as the tool is in the bottom of the pouch.

Good looking and useful gear being shown as always. I had this on me and threw a Sportsman (84mm SAK) in a small bag later. I have Xylitol gum in the tin and the pills are paracetamol.

Thanks Farmer, I hope so too! 😊

Customod,

Nice custom leather!

JUST curious if you sewed that with a SAK.

D

Thanks! That would be fun to try, though for this I used a small leatherworking set I had bought ages ago and never tried. This is one of my first forays into leatherwork so there is plenty to be improved but it does work! It is serving as a prototype along with one other wallet until I decide how the next version should be made :D

Mrs. Pilot said suddenly "I need to start carrying my small Victorinox nowadays!" Said she may need the small scissors to open some baby milk cartons when outside the home. Happy the Classic SD gets carried now after a long time in the drawer!

Nice! Mrs. Customod won't even carry keys with her half of the time, so it isn't likely she'll be carrying any tools in the near future.

All of the tools I had on me got used today for various jobs. I made a new version of the t-shank adapter which needed some cleaning up. The small holes were too small so I made a mini reamer from a thick paperclip using pliers and files.

I can relate totally. It's funny how you can leave the house without keys :O or wallet or even phone.

Is this new adapter made from metal? Looks great btw. I liked the red one also but I suppose that was a prototype of this one?

Im thinking of maybe making a chisel some day that would fit the LM bit driver as it should be done easily with a dremel. Would be nice to have a chisel in the woods by the twig stove. Maybe buy a straight one and a spoon one to have a all around set for carving.

The chisel is a good idea! I made a long awl from an extra MUT bit and it has worked really well! It is one of the best reamer/scrapers I have. I actually used it today while testing a new 'bit' idea that is a 4mm bit adapter on one end and an everpencil tip attaches to the other.

That t-shank adapter isn't metal (yet) but it will be. It is actually quite strong in plastic and works already for prototype purposes.

Also speaking chisels, since you have a Curl Pilot, I thought I'd share what I did with my own.
