Hey John those are really nice!  I love them.  :)  I have a dream of getting to Nepal someday and seeing one being forged by a local then bring it back home.  More of a fantasy perhaps?  ;)  Good luck finding one.
I have a friend who made me a homebrew unit and use it when we go camping.

Here is my old battler.  This is a military model from the early 1900's.

I'm not really a Kukri guy but I seem to remember hearing good things about these chaps.

Heathen >:( :twak: :D

No it's the original Carbon V, Gurka Kukri :) And it really is superb :)

I'll bring it to next years meet, and you can have a play mate :)

As for the Forces one, yes it's full tang, and is probably the third strongest knife I own :)

In April this year i bought this Camping Kukri from Simon Hengle on Tora Blades.
Through mail he personally gave me sound advice which model would best suit my needs; to have a good quality allround cutter that wasn't too big or heavy and would keep an edge well.

Simon doesn't sell your average run of the mill kukri; instead he regularly travels to Nepal to instruct the Nepalese kami's from whom he buys to create kukri's with a better cutting geometry (read: thinner, but not too thin) and take special care in a quality differential hardening as well.
The result is a kukri that feels alive in your hand, and which handles all cutting tasks extremely well with a thin, but very strong edge that stays sharp for prolonged periods, even on dense hardwoods.

All i can say is that i'm very satisfied with Simon's advice and prices, which resulted in me buying the Camping Kukri from him.
It performs extremely well, and i'm already thinking of buying a second model from him :)

Just to add to Roberts comments, his prices (to me) seem very low and you get a lot of kukri for your money.

Nope mine just had the Karda :)

Which is fine, as it's a 4 inched, recurved bushcraft knife, instead of the silly little one's you usually get :)

Some great kuk's guy's Mikes and Roberts are very nice indeed

Now after seeing them I'm frantically trying to gather funds so I can order one, though for now I may have to settle for the BSI pattern two but it should serve well my needs  :salute:
