Side by side comparison shots would be cool thanks!

Which do you prefer - old or new?

They're both great! But I prefer my new black one, only because I like that color--black--better than red. Also, because the new black one has the Plus scales and provides me with an ink pen.
Shoot low, they might be crawlin'

Can't argue with that.

None more black.

I just found a lovely VIC One-Hand Trekker in my mailbox.

I'll post my thoughts in my 'Left-Handed OHO for Trekker?' thread.

I finally got a 108mm model to try out.  Red Safari Trooper.  I love this thing, its so much bigger than I thought. I wish there were more models in this size, I love it!

It looks massive compared to a standard 93mm.

This arrived from Neil's shop today.

The Victorinox cigar cutter model.

I have included a picture of it with the similar Wenger model, for reference.

The Sportsman is a GREAT little pocket knife. It's one of the few Vics with the nail file / #1 phillips instead of the small blade.

It's right up there with the Small Tinker.

Congratulations, very nice find!
I spotted one of these KM knives not long ago on Marktplaats.
It was in a lot of approximately 25 KL SAK's (if I remember correctly).
Unfortunately the seller never answered my question about selling that single KM marked knife.

I've got the two used SAK's what I have mentioned before.

The Vic Climber is in good overall condition, with two exceptions: scales are crackled, and chipped off, will need to change them (preferably to stayglow, but that won't be easy to get), and the liner next to the small blade was bent in, which I managed to correct. Toothpick missing.

The Wenger (I don't know exactly what it is, it is the same as the classic 07, but has no tweezers, and toothpick) is almost perfect! A little coloring in spots on the blade (no corrosion), other metals parts OK. The scales however, are having problems. A fingerprint has melted (?) into the scale, not too deep thankfully. Any ideas how could I remove them?

Small collection of SAK's, (but growing rapidly. :D) not so fast at this time. :( And the most important of all: Ze Zuper Zoldier by Steve!  :ahhh

Stayglow scales shouldn't be too hard to get, but they ain't cheap either.  Maybe better off just buying a stayglow climber and getting your current one some used red scales.

I had searched, but haven't found any stayglows online. At least new 91mms. Did I mention that the two SAK's were 10$ with p&p?  :D

Well that's a heck of a price for the two of those!  I'd say slapping a $7 pair of red scales on that $5 climber would make it a heck of a bargain!  If you are dying to have stayglow scales, give Rotokid a shout and he should be able to hook you up.  I haven't contacted him in a while so I am not sure how to get ahold of him, but he is a member here.

Now all I have to figure out is how to repair (sand maybe?) the Wengers' scales.

Rotokid can help you with that too.  I got my scale polish from him too.  It's a plexiglass cleaner/polisher and it works wonders.

I would rub the scales/fingerprint with some very fine sandpaper or wire wool then with some polish (brasso here in the UK works)  :salute:
