A smooth backend is the slickest thing you can hold in your hands. :D

Ain't that the truth.

and always guaranteed to put a smile on your face :D  ... but back on topic, celidor SAKs are the way to go for me  :P >:D I guess I prefer warm and smooth rather than cold and dimpled  .... and accompanied by a nice bottle of wine too :D

These days you'd have to look pretty hard to find a bottle of wine that didn't have a screwtop on it anyway.

You actually sparked the idea. :salute: After you showed that both Rahmed and I did our own versions of it in January. This is the upgraded version of it.

my Hercules came in today.

sitting behind it is a new mod i put together last week.

the Hercules is awesome  :climber: big and stuffed full of tools, just wish it had the one hand trekker blade...i saw that mod recently...in this thread or the sak mod thread

oh and gentleman those circuit board ones look great.  one question are these used circuit boards that were recommissioned into handle service?

edit: i didn't mean to make that sound as simple a question as it appears.  looking closer it looks like some of the boards still have solder and some don't.  safety sam says make sure to take precautions when cutting this material and would go so far as say touching these boards esp with solder should be followed by a good hand washing before eating or drinking.

I think it is a great mod and say this in all respect.  in an age of dremel just about anyone can start cutting up something before thinking of the safety considerations, my response it to them.  please take the necessary precautions.

I was just thinking about a Hercules the last couple of days.  Mod it to remove the saw, or perhaps replace the saw with a file, and it'd be a great SAK for cycling.

prob wouldn't save too much space just removing the saw but I can see where replacing it with a file would be handy

Hmm now that would be a cool project for a hercules, to see how thin it could be made and not lose anything.  I can drop the two outer liners if I go with thin 0.60 Ti scales, and replace the existing liners with thinner Ti as well.  I think that would be enough to be noticeable.

that would be cool!

the liners are thicker on the 111s then on the 91s so i would think you could get some size down

there is also a double liner between pliers and saw

That brings back memories. That style Victoria was my grandfathers EDC. HE was the person who gave me my first pocket knife and always told me I'd inherit that Victoria. He lost it though a few years before he died. :(
