I bought myself a huntsman this weekend

Nice on JA :tu:

Thanks Man

I may have to get or make some nicer scales for it.

Oh you can make scales?  That's cool :tu:

Well that's still cool.  I wouldn't have a clue about how to do that.  What's wrong with the scales that came on it?

Just got an Vic Pioneer.  Now it takes me 10 minutes to decide if I want to carry it, or my other new knife, the Farmer.  Love 'em both.  :)

Hey man!  I see you're going deeper into the SAK rabbit hole huh?  The Pioneer is great, and I would imagine the Farmer is as well (don't have one).  I guess it depends on if you think you would like to have a SAK saw on you or not.  I think I would prefer the Pioneer myself, but I carry other items to compensate for what it would lack ;)

Decisions, decisions... 2 nice choices. I'm still waiting to pull the trigger on a electrician as my first 93mm alox.

That's a good one too, and was my first 93mm alox.  I love that utility blade :tu:

Monrogue - Oh yeah, I'm deep in the hole now.  The money I got for the 2 KF4's I sold a few months ago was like my gateway-drug into SAK addiction.

Since then, I've picked up a Black Explorer, a Black Compact, a Farmer, a Pioneer, a Wenger S10, among others.  Even got my wife a purple classic for her keychain, which she likes.  : )

Jailbird - I've had a few SAKs from when I was a kid.  (Fisherman and Angler)  About 10 or 15 years ago I picked up an alox Electrician.  I knew nothing of collecting, etc., but I liked those silver textured scales.  I still have it and it really is a sweet one.  But, now that it's probably a bit of a collector piece (old silver cross model), I don't carry it.  Just put it in a sheath on my shelf.  And, I'm even tempted to buy a new one.

I do really prefer the larger 93mm blade on these alox models.  Just more "substantial."

The latest I worked on is an old cross electrician.  The eblade got swapped for a small blade from an alox settler.  The settler then got the eblade.  I think that makes it an apprentice if I remember right.

An 86 Soldier.  The blade has "Lorenzi + Sohn Baden" etched on the blade.  When I first saw this for sale, I thought maybe this was someone's name on the blade.  However, according to a post I found on swissarmyknights.com, this was the name of a Swiss knife company that would bid on surplus stock from the Swiss government and then re-sell the knives in their stores.  If this is incorrect, or if anyone has any additional information, feel free to educate me.

Syph, those are great. I've looked for an Apprentice for a while now.
I  bought an older Tinker in the box this morning. Not sure if it's an 84 or 91.

I like it a lot.  (Still prefer the 93mm main blade on my Pioneer/Farmer/Electrician.)  I also like black scales when I can get them.

It's my "safe" EDC, in that it doesn't scare anyone.  It's small size and various functions make it very handy and easy to bring along.  I added the mini screwdriver to the corkscrew and a pin to the scale-hole, to add even more usefulness.

I wish I bought a few more KF4s way-back-when, so that i'd have more money to spend.  ; )

Picked up a couple of Spartans at the flea market yesterday...$2 a piece...they needed a lot of wd-40 and the better part of the evening on the lasky, but they'll work fine on the tv stand and the dresser so my wife stops grabbing my good SAKs when she needs a knife (bad habit of not wiping them down when she's done with them)

Finally got a Wenger Blackout model EVOGrip 10. Used model shows some wear on the scales but the tools all look great. The key ring was somewhat scuffed up so I took it off. My flash photographs do not do this knife justice. The blackout tools and stuff really look nice in person.

Today my post office box was like a slot machine that paid the jackpot. Turned the key and stuff poured out!

1. Grey alox Pioneer Harvester from Felinevet. (thanks Tim).

2. An old L.L. Bean Swiss Outdoorsman with flat phillips; and a translucent red Spartan with edelweiss.

3. A couple of German-locale Classics, the result of some horse-trading with Stressmaster5000. Already have the Spartan version of the Ulm/Donau. (thanks again Wayne).

That ruby red Spartan with Edelweiss flowers looks sweet! I have not seen that pattern before. Glad that trade worked out well for both of us.

I get two things I love in one Product!!!   Major score for me!!

Do any other sports fans have a Sak with their team logo?

That is the NFL version. I have a MLB version that I need to photograph. It is basically the same with MLB team logos on it.

I just wanted to show off my Cleveland Browns Victorinox Classic one more time.  I decided to give my Good friend and Troll this Classic as his First Knife.  He is a Cleveland Browns fan also.  He loves it.  :)  The Browns will probably win 10 games this year now.

Great looking collection, Wayne!  :tu:

In the school Classics, there are apparently 3 or 4 versions for Princeton. A dealer friend suspected that someone high up in Victorinox USA was a Princeton man.

I also have the 28 older teams NFL display that includes 1 Cowboys classic and all 28 team logo scales that are mounted on a plastic display board. I really need to make some photos of it now that I have a camera that works somewhat better.
