I found yet another use for paracord. I broke my favorite coffee mug handle. So I glued it back together, and to stiffen it, I am using paracord with a ringbolt hitching pattern and will add either epoxy or clear acrylic to finish it up.

Good work. Very creative.  :tu:

Here's the last little paracord toy that i made,, JR

I just wanted to run a quick tip by anyone whos making these, of course there's the leave a string in and pull the bracelet threw with, but i used something else that was VERY EASY!! some of you may know what this is  but for you that don't ill explain, :tu: this is what i used
This is what they call a Perma-lok-needle, you cant see it but instead of where you would thread the string threw, its solid, and at the end its threaded, basically like a pipe fitting.. i took mine, threaded the end of the bracelet into it(make sure its tight) and i had it all the way threw in 30sec, the reason i say make sure its tight is because mine came undone 3/4 of the way because as your pushing it threw the paracord, you need to pull the slack back, and that kinda turns it, so it wasn't tight, and came undone. but it was faster to take it all out and redo it, then fiddle around with it. I got this one at Tandy Leather, im sure you can get them else where. just figure i would pass on helpful info,,  JR

Nice one Ashley, you made me laugh.

Glad to be a help. :tu: I thought it was pretty cool myself. Took me awhile to make lanyard around tractor but oh well. I tried to drill a hole through tractor but I couldn't get through the darn diecast.  ::)

A couple of round and square paracord lanyard/fob crown sinnets, with wall knots and a few extras:  Spanish ring knots and two & three pass Gaucho/Fan knots tied with 0.9mm and 1.4mm cord

Almost done. Adding a couple small Turks heads to the ends. I will post pics when finished. It turned out better than I thought it would.
If I remember correctly, wait, what was I saying?

The first package that I sent my son when he was in Iraq included a paracord bracelet that I had made with black and brown cord.  He wore it every day while deployed.  He still wears it now that he's back even though it is dirty with the grit and sweat from combat missions in the desert.

I had an idea for a new bracelet, but it took me quite awhile to figure out how to get the look I had in mind. He is in the US Army Cavalry.  Cavalry units use a guidon like the one below to identify themselves.  They also us the red over white in other ways to show that they are Cavalry.

I wanted to make a black bracelet with red over white in a way that would bring the Calvary guidon to mind.  Here is the result.

Its going to be a stocking stuffer on Christmas Morning.

The blue one has a rattlesnake knot at one end and a snake knot at the other - double overhand or scaffold typr knot in the middle I think.

I highly recommend these two resources for loads of great info:

Well finally got a couple of paracord bracelets done today :) I'm pleased with the end results, came out much better than my first attempt. Big thanks to captain spaulding for the youtube vid he posted here and here :tu: and mega thanks to Essexman for very generously supplying me with enough cord to make two bracelets :salute:
Orange and Black Camo.

One has a snap buckle, the other, a ham fisted sliding knot.

My match stick arm, Skeletool and a cool little tin from Neil.

Good fun to make, might eventually try a more complex knot but this is defiantly a good starting point :tu:

Looking good badwolf. I find that type of bracelet harder than a normal cobra weave, well done.

Cord colour is Tiger camo from supply captain. Thet now do a panda camop too, I don't think any animals were harmed in making that cord?
