Makaveli, Very Nice, Thats The Kind Of Knife Or Similar To The Kind I Want.
Large-Ish, One Blade And A Lanyard Hole.
And Then Maybe Have A Clip Added.
But I Doubt It.
It Would Be My Change-Pocket Knife.

My brothers and I went out to dinner last night, and as an early birthday present, they gave me a pleasant little surprise:

Case 62032CV small Texas Jack.  The F&F on this knife is PERFECT!  Not even the smallest gap or blemish on the handles.  The smudges on the blades in that pic are simply because I can't stop playing with it!  What a nice pair of guys!  And I can't believe I just typed that..... :P

cool,  8) I've got exactly that model swayback on the way too. though I'm waiting for the USPS man, not the UPS man, ...in Germany.  so it will be a while yet.

I know what you mean.  I forced a patina on my Sodbuster Jr and large Trapper, but have left my Mini Trapper and Texas Jack alone.  The Mini sees a lot of use at work, and is starting to turn nicely.  :)

This was a gift from my wife for fathers day or X-Mas? but its a Case Orange Curly Zebra Wood Trapper, she even got it engraved on the blade, and the bolster, then where she bought it from called and asked her if she wanted them to put it on the holster, they havent done it before, and were going to start doing so, so she said why not,,  JR

@ Jmora - Damn it, between you and Evan showing those off, how am I supposed to NOT get one? :)

@JR - That is one pretty Trapper!  I have one with yellow synthetic handles and CV blades, and I love it.  But that one blows mine away!

my new GEC #73 linerlock with blue bone arrived today. It will lie perfectly camoflauged in my blue jeans pocket.  I'm really happy with it overall, there is only one rather  problem , which you can see in a close up - the blade rides a bit proud. It makes no difference, as it doesn't hurt when you run your finger over it, but still a bit annoying. Also my schrade mini linerlock, I got this a couple of weeks ago, but the grind was all wonky, so yesterday I reprofiled it to 30 degrees, now its a dangerous little bugger.

That is the problem of buying these knives unseen, over the internet, as I have found out too. Their reputation blinds you.

You could sent it back for a replacement, as the knife point sticks out quite a bit and at some point it will catch a thread etc and cause damage. (See BF too for a similar problem)

Or, you could try to file down the Kick of the knife a bit, to lower it.

Or, as someone told me once "You can always send the knife on to me if that would make things better   :salute: "    >:D

thanks for the advice,  :tu:, I'll give it a go, I checked out BF's advice on filing kicks. since I have all the sandpaper and ducttape here that I use for the reprofiling - which is something I'll have to do as well, looks like the blade has a very broad edge.
...I should have known that comment would come back to haunt me.  :-X
